Jo Blo's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in St. Catharines

Ive been coming to Jos on and off since it opened. Ive tried different burgers and sandwiches, pizza. Always nice cold beer, a good place to sit down for a drink and something to eat. One thing really bugged me though; I ordered 1lb of wings yesterday and it was $18.00......That is ABSURD! For 8-10 wings, which is pretty much a snack. They werent especially huge or anything, ok size. For a small sports bar that is a majorly expensive price for bar staple like wings. Should have an option to not get dip, carrots and celery and shave off 2 bucks or something. I asked how much 3 lbs was cus i knew 1lb wasnt enough and it was $45!!!!! Half of $100 for say 30 wings. Thats like 1.60 a wing. I ended up just getting 1lb. You can get 3lbs of much bigger wings at $36 at similar places, just sucks because Jos is within walking distance and thats a good thing when you want a drink and dinner lol. I know there is a wing night, but i wanted to do pick up. Anyways, Jos is a good atmosphere, good food, but just had a problem with how much the wings were considering they arent anything out of the ordinary and cant even feed 1 person almost like a $20 appetizer.

Also, i wish the website had the actual menu on it instead of QR code. Why not just make it easy to scroll through menu instead of...

Friends and I have been coming to Jo Blo’s for a few weeks now on Mondays for pints and Tapas. While all our visits have been enjoyable, last night was a poor hospitality service experience.

Upon arrival, we talked with the servers about how we love the tapas and think it is a great deal. We then specifically requested the Tapas menu as we were only given the normal entre menu, and when ordering, pointed to items listed on the Tapas menu.

After a few drinks and laughs, we were ready to settle up and were charged full entre price for at least 3 items we ordered ($20+) and not the Tapas price ($6). The portions were not noticeably larger so we didn't think twice, but when we asked the servers about the error, we were told that we were in the wrong and that we need to clearly specify that we are ordering the tapas version in the future.

While it should have been obvious that we intended to order Tapas for numerous reasons previously mentioned, I would have expected some sort of service recovery initiative from the staff, but instead all we got was a "At least you have leftovers for lunch tomorrow!" comment.

Overall, a poor service experience at Jo Blo's as I think any other restaurant would have done something to mend...

Decided to google "pulled pork near me" and came across this place. I looked at the menu and it looked interesting so I ordered for takeout. I ordered the pulled pork sub and got a poutine with it. They accidentally gave me a pulled pork poutine so I had to wait for them to fix it but that was fine. Mistakes happen. They were very apologetic and nice about it. No problems to fix it, no excuses. Great service from all the ladies there.

When I got home and looked at my food I couldn't believe how big the sub was and how much you get in it. It's worth the money. They give you a good amount of BBQ sauce on the pork and the coleslaw is awesome. It's very filling. The poutine was a regular poutine. Usually you find poutines with gross plastic-y cheese curds but this one wasn't like that. A bit too much gravy for me but everyone is different. Judging by the pulled pork poutine I accidentally got, it looked like it would be good too lol.

All in all everything was great. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and 100% recommend the pulled pork sub. Thank you for the great food...
