Awful at best'! Niagara Region Public Health needs to stop by this poor excuse of a restaurant.
To: Yum Brands and the franchisee of the Pizza Hut on Lake St. (St. Catharines)...you should be ashamed and embarrassed of this establishment, the customer experience, and, the precedence you're setting for other Yum franchisee's ....How this location is allowed to operate, yet alone, offer an 'dine-in' experience is beyond me. Upon entering the business we were informed that 'due to COVID, we don't have any servers'; I could place my order and they would bring our pizza to the table...while this didn't seem like too much of an issue, I wasn't fully prepared for what unfolded. After placing our order and paying, we went and sat ourselves, within a few minutes an employee came over with empty pizza boxes, individually wrapped plastic forks, Styrofoam cups and paper towels from the washroom; In today's age, I was stunned to see the complete disregard for our environment and the over consumption of disposable items....apparently this Pizza Hut team is too lazy to wash dishes (you use to have them, where did they go? and why are you no longer using them). The overall business has been completely neglected, everywhere you look - wore, dirty, unsanitary seating/table surfaces/floors....DISGUSTING! ...and that's what we could see, I could only imagine what the 'back of house' (where patrons cannot see) looks like...so gross, if we had not paid, we would have left! About 45 minutes after placing our order (2 medium pizza's and chicken bites) the server came over with our food and profusely apologized as we had been told our meal would be over in 15 minutes...she proceeded to inform us that 'on our next visit, it will be much better' and that 'if more customers come in they could justify a server'; don't worry, we will NEVER be back!...and, I'll give you some complimentary advice! If you weren't so lazy and could simply wash some dishes and keep your restaurant clean and sanitary, maybe, just maybe, people would start coming back...neglecting all facets of your operation and then begging customers to return will not cut it; simply put, your business will fail! If you don't consider the 'dine-in' experience vital to your operational goals and success, then close the...
Read moreWe have bought pizzas here on a regular basis for the past year. In general, the wait times are at least 45 minutes if you walk in to the place....so we started placing online orders for our past two orders (we usually buy for 60-70 CAD *twice a month). Last time, our first online order, I asked them how to customize an order, which is often impossible to do online. The employee told us to just place the order online and call in to customize the order, so that is what I tried to do today. I placed the order online (for pick up in thirty minutes) and called the store immediately for minor changes (i.e. to remove tomatoes from a Veggie lover pizza and no sauce on half the wings). I was put on hold for 15 minutes before I tried to call again....I explained that I was calling about an order with pick-up in fifteen minutes but was put on hold again...for twenty minutes....before I finally hang up and went to the restaurant. The manager (Jeffrey with a K) explained to me that sometimes they are just busy (I saw three cars in the parking lot, about three tables with dine in customers and one more customer waiting for take out wings...a lot of space in the parking lot compared to our other visits). He then charged us full price for the half-cold pizza (the one I finally agreed to take)....Pizza is usually ok in this place but I would have expected more from management especially since I explained that we do take out from the restaurant on a regular basis. Will definitely...
Read moreOk so I get it, you run a four person show on a friday? Management needs to really figure out time and budgeting. So I was standing for at least 5 mins after walking in the door before I asked the woman at the front counter where I should sit. Then quickly dismissed and told anywhere is good, told that it was busy and my server would be right with me. Busy.... I've worked in alot ot kitchens pizza hut included in my younger days and busy isnt two four tops and they mostly had been served. My server passed me 4 times apologizing each time then I finally got my order in 9 wings 15$ a medium Canadian. Now if you dont know this pizza hut operates on a cup system to manage cheese portion and waste. Good in practice not it u dont fill the cup so the wings were tiny for 15 bucks I kinda expected larger wings and the pizza had toonie spots that had no cheese on it, and the mushrooms were thrown on top so I assume the cook forgot to buy them on. The pizza was also a little well done but not complaintable. No celery or carrot sticks with wings. This is a huge failure on more than a couple of people. The franchise owner or if it's a company store #prism #PizzaHut and the management, the experience rates as one of the worst I've had at the franchise level and one of the worst places I've been to in a while. I wish I...
