Typically I try to avoid reviewing until I’ve been to a place a few different times. This place was definitely the anomaly.

A group of five of us went out on a hot sunny afternoon. Although the lack of shade from lack of canopy meant that the tables were steaming hot and our bare skins were stinging (from wearing shorts) the place was very well done with its atmosphere, staff, and general decor. Having an option for shade other than sitting inside would be simply amazing, but not a real issue when you’re eating.

All of the alcoholic beverages are priced very reasonably. You can sit and drink half of their menu, and already be too drunk to drive. It is definitely worth coming multiple times simply to taste a little bit of everything. For the designated driver, non-alcoholic drinks are a little pricey. A Coca-Cola from Mexico, cost four Canadian dollars, for the same amount of pop thats in can of 355 mL.

The food, is simply divine. A smoky chicken taco which cost six dollars is simply amazing but not filling. It is something just to cleanse your pallet with the alcoholic beverages. The rest of us ordered Birria Beef Crunch Wraps for $15, and they were simply the most amazing rap ever. If any other establishment were to make a copy of this rap, it would not be done with real beef, it would not be filling, and would charge minimum $23. The beef wrap is simply the most amazing thing they have and was also highly recommended by the waitress. It is worth the drive just for this! I will be definitely coming back, with different friends, and with different friends after that, just to introduce them to simply one of the best places I’ve been...

I forgot my ID — both of my buddies had theirs. Lame, but I just tell the server I just won’t drink tonight (I was only gonna have one anyways because I was DDing). He glares at us, says nothing, then leaves. Comes back a few minutes later and tells us we have to get out because they won’t serve any table with a person who doesn’t have an ID after 11 — which is lame, because my friends had everything necessary. But I get it if it’s business policy.

What I don’t get is why this dude treated us like mud from the second we came in to the second we left. Barely saying anything to us, just lots of vacant staring and visibly angry facial expressions (from the first time he came to our table). Went on an unprompted bitter tangent about how my ā€œforgetfulness isn’t his problemā€ when he told us he wouldn’t serve us. I never once implied it was, and we didn’t argue at all about having to leave. We were there maybe 10 minutes total and the entire time we were uncomfortable.

I wouldn’t have held ID policies against the business if we weren’t treated so aggressively from the get-go, but as it stands I won’t be coming back to drink and wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody who likes supporting businesses that practice basic customer service. I’ve worked retail. It isn’t that hard to be cordial to customers. To the ā€˜stached wannabe hipster dude who served us — I truly hope you find happiness one day so you can stop taking out your frustration on...

The first time I came to trust everything was amazing, the food was so good, everything I ordered had no spice to it and the flavour was phenomenal. The second time I came I ordered the chicken Crunchwrap it was a bit spicy so I couldn’t finish it, otherwise it was good so I thought it was maybe just the Crunchwrap and I would try ordering something else. Tonight my husband, brother in law and I came because again I was really liking the food and the first time I came I ordered the Smokey chicken tacos and they were so good. Tonight, food took almost 1.5 hours and everything was quite spicy. The Aztec nachos are not supposed to be spicy and neither is the Smokey chicken tacos, other than a bit of chipotle but this was more than a kick from chipotle sauce. I am not someone who tolerates spicy food well so I purposely order food that isn’t supposed to be spicy. Every single food tonight had that same lingering heat that gave me awful heartburn and made me feel sick. My husband works in a kitchen in the area and was wondering if maybe there was spice contamination from other orders crossing over to ours. Also I understand the long wait because you guys are packed and the kitchen is tiny with 1-2 people working. I think with the popularity of the place that’s not sufficient enough. It’s a good place,...

Trust Beer Bar was a great spot for a friendly get together. It has a cool, relaxed atmosphere which is perfect for a chill night out with friends. They boast an incredible beer (and cider) collection from local spots. I'm really impressed that you can actually purchase bottles/cans to take home if you wish - a great concept. This allows you to try multiple different beers/ciders without having to seek them out. We tried the food and were pleasantly surprised. I personally wasn't a fan of the salsa and tostadas as the salsa had too much lime and I lost the other flavours. However, the tacos were mind-blowingly amazing. I could eat so many if given the chance. I highly recommend either the smokey chicken or the picante chicken tacos. Both were superior to a lot of tacos you can find nearby. Overall adored the place and would love to go back to update my rating once I try some more of their food. Also will make sure to park at the lot right beside Trust Beer so I don't have to walk very far next time! The shop/bar is wheelchair accessible.

Food was fine, drinks were great, service was poor. They do not have any physical menus, you are required to scan a barcode with your phone. I was out of data for the month and had to wait for my friends to show up to see a menu. I think they should have at least a few physical menus for this type of situation. My food came out 25 minutes before my friends food came. Not sure if they are short staffed or just neglectful but our server left before we finished our order, and the other server kept leaving in between each of us paying which made it take longer for all of us to finish paying with the machine. I’d consider going again for a drink, but would not order food again.

So happy this place opened up! It’s such an easy pick for a place to meet up with friends for a drink or two. The patio is really nice and they are continuously working on updating their space to make it even more enjoyable (added decor). They have a great selection of beers and their tacos are pretty good and reasonably priced. I’ve been here 4-5 times already in the last month! I can’t wait for them to start offering flights of beer so I can try more of their selection :) Update: their smoky chicken antojitos are absolutely amazing!!!! I’m craving them again now.
