Angela's Gelato & Fine Refreshments — Restaurant in Stratford

After a hot afternoon soaking in Stratford’s charm and reliving our UWaterloo days while exploring the nearby satellite campus, we knew it was time for dessert. Angela’s Gelato called out like a sweet little oasis, and stepping in felt like the perfect way to cool off.

Angela’s offers a wide range of milk-based and vegan gelato options, each one made in-house and full of flavour. We tried the Coffee Crunch, which struck a beautiful balance between bold espresso and bits of chocolatey crunch for texture and surprise. It was rich, smooth, and deeply satisfying without being overly sweet.

The Chocolate Peanut Butter was an instant throwback to our childhoods. Dense, creamy, and indulgent, the chocolate base had real depth, while the peanut butter swirl added salty contrast. The two scoops together were a match made in gelato heaven—decadent yet refreshing.

I’ve been a fan of Angela’s Gelato & Fine Refreshments since day one, and let me tell you—it has NEVER disappointed. Every single visit is a joyful, delicious experience. The flavours are ridiculously addictive. I’ve made a tradition of randomly choosing different ones each time because they’re all that good — literally no wrong choice on that menu!

My family and I make the trip out to Stratford every season, and this charming shop is always our first stop. Angela’s gelato is worth every kilometre. 🍦💛

The customer service is exceptional—warm, welcoming, and you can tell they really care about their craft. The shop itself is nestled right in the heart of beautiful Stratford, with plenty of seating to enjoy your treat in the sunshine while soaking in the town’s charm.

I cannot recommend this place enough. The staff are friendly, the owner is personable and knowledgeable about what they're selling, the products are top tier quality and amazing. I was expecting your run-of-the-mill gelato, kinda overly sweetened and not the greatest, but the Lemon flavor I had was quite possibly the most refreshing thing I've had all summer. I also had a cup of their Berrylicious Iced Tea, and genuinely feel it was the best I've had in town. The owner was even kind of enough to mention that it came unsweetened, and made sure to ask what level of sweetener I wanted added.
