Apna Chaat House — Restaurant in Surrey

I ordered my meal on uber eats and ended up cancelling my order. As per uber eats policy I could not get refunded on my food but was was advised by uber eats customer service that since the restaurant already got paid for the order,uber eats can only refund the dilevery charge.

When i called this restaurant they claimed since I canceled my order, it is in uber eats discretion on whether I can have my food made for pick up. When I disputed this logic with the restaurant and insisted uber eats advised me the restaraunt should complete my order, I was directed to speak to 2 different managers who advised me they cannot make my order even though they accepted payment for the order on uber eats.

On top of this when I tried to explain this issue to the manager she took my complaint as a personal attack against her which was an absurd claim.

In short this restaurant took my payment and did not prepare my meal. If this restaurant wants to resolve this matter amicably without the involvement of the FTC or the BBB I would recommend you contact me as soon as possible to resolve this matter. I should also mention the manager told me she would call me in 15 minutes which she didn't. This restaurant should also have more discretion on who they hire to represent...

I went there with my friends we ordered kathi roll, chole bhature , chowmien and three drinks. Chowmiem was tasteless I mean it was not spicy at all that what we ordered. And kathi roll was very sour It was like they have just put pneer sbji in tortilla and served it. We did eat chowmien we just tasted it little bit we didnt like it although chole bhature was good. When we gave feedback to server she just gave us excuse that kathi roll comes with vinegar thats why it is sour. And then they brought the bill to us which we didnt asked for. We wanted to order dessert but they just gave us bill . They were charging us for kathi roll and chowmien which we didnt eat even half of it. Maybe just took one two bites to taste. I asked server that why are they charging for those items then again she just said bcoz kathi roll comes with vinegar.... I told them we are okay to pay for kathi roll but there is no sense to charge for chowmien which we gave full container back to them. I love apna chat house's gol gappe and chole bhature but this time it was such a bad experience. My friends came there on my suggestion. I felt so bad how they treated us. The way they just brought the bill after we just gave feedback to them was rude as we did not asked...

I visited Apna Chaat today between 4:00 and 5:30 PM, and unfortunately, my experience was a complete disaster. I ordered a pasta dish, but when it arrived, the pasta was uncooked. I kindly requested that they not serve it to me, as I found it inedible, and explained that I would have to cook it again. Despite this, they insisted on charging me for the dish. I told them that if I was being charged, I would expect a properly cooked meal.

After going to the kitchen, the staff member returned and claimed the cook said the pasta was properly cooked. She even touched it with her hand and stated they couldn’t issue a refund. At that point, I reluctantly agreed to take the pasta. However, when it arrived, it was the same uncooked pasta that I had initially rejected, even though I had asked for a new one.

This was a very disappointing experience at Apna Chaat, and I wish I could leave a zero-star review. I would strongly recommend that the owner visit the restaurant and observe the behavior of their manager. The manager, in particular, was unprofessional and did not know how to handle the situation.
