DON'T BELIEVE THE POSITIVE REVIEWS; I wouldn't be surprised if its their own staff writing it
they were extremely rude from the second we walked in
the server walked up to us, didnt ask how we were doing or anything and just says "IDS" we were like okay and gave it to her
asked her how their beers on special were and she said they were fine so we got them (it was horrible)
anyway there were 8 of us there we had some beers and ordered a round of shots ($4 drop shots) we finished the one asked for another round a little later and she said "no you guys are going to puke" we didn't understand why she would accuse us of doing that, in no ways we were rowdy or anything
we were sitting at a BAR and hanging out
it was like they didnt want our money and didnt want us to have any drinks well i would like to say they should not have such good shot specials if they dont want people to drink
I asked about the food as i was getting a little hungry asked how the nachos were she said fine and walked away..
she finally gave in and said she would get another round of shots
but before she came up to us and asked "HOW ARE YOU GETTING HOME" in an extremely stern and rude voice I said "taxi" and she went to everyone and said "AND YOU?" it was very rude and unprofessional
we got another round of beers and now we can see the bartender looking at us giving us dirty looks and we then learned he was the manager
the manager was wearing bicycle shorts and bicycle shirt what kind of manager dresses like that, very UNPROFESSIONAL
we then noticed the waitress wasn't coming to us any more...
then we got fed up and just asked for the bill she only brought one persons bill and then got mad at us when we asked for the rest of the bill
we tried to complain to the manager and we was just as rude as the server it was kind of hard to believe we were talking to a manager wearing bicycle shorts but he was not helpful at all
on the way out one of the guys said "well im never coming back here" and the manger had the nerve to say "good we dont want you back here"
I fully expect a defensive response from a worker there as it looks like thats what they do when they get a bad review
are you serious? they deleted my review!! well here...
Read moreThis is an establishment we used to go to frequently and always had decent food and service. Unfortunately since covid, we hadn't had the change to go in a while. So imagine our surprise when we went there last Saturday and found it basically empty.. It was clearly all new staff (1 server), maybe new ownership? The service wasn't great and the food was a shocker. What a disappointment. Most of us got cold food. But what really shocked me was what I got. I saw they had hot dog sliders and I've never seen that before, so I ordered it out of curiosity. $14.99 with a special sauce, onions, and Kosher beef hot dog.. Imagine my disappointment when they didn't bring me anything. The server tried to convince me it would just be a couple more minutes. I actually pressed her and she admitted the order wasn't put in. So 3 minutes later they brought it out.
TERRIBLE FIRST (AND ONLY) EXPERIENCE
I came in on a Thursday Wing Night, with a guest from the US. When the server asked for his ID, he willingly gave two pieces and she went to the manager on duty to verify it.
This back and forth happened twice, when the server said that the MOD would not accept the ID. My guest spoke to the MOD, who said that she has never seen a New York ID before, and therefore cannot accept it. She also said it was expired, but he showed her the actual expiry date, and it was actually NOT expired. She then explained, that she still cannot accept it because it's too flimsy.
I have worked as a server in a pub before, and completely understand that establishments have the right to refuse service, but not without means. The ID being too flimsy, it not even expired, and not accepted because the employee has never seen that out-of-town ID before, are not acceptable reasons to be refused service. The second piece of ID given, verified the name that matches the New York State ID. so there should not have been a problem. Our first and only visit was truly a waste of time and a regrettable experience. Perhaps to avoid this again, the employees could check ID's under a black light to further verify...
