Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Surrey

I just wanted to put in a complaint about the Newton location DQ address: #105-, 7115 138 St, Surrey, BC V3W 7T9 I had ordered my birthday cake on June 16th 2016 to be picked up on June 21st at 10:15am. I was there on that date to pick up and staff had told me that they accidently gave my cake away the day before and If I wanted to wait 1/2hr they would make me another one with $10.00/off. I said I could not wait I had stuff to do. So she made me a free blizzard and I left. Now it is June 22nd I come into work and a note is left from DQ June 21st @10:30am that my cake is ready to be picked up. I am confused so I call them. I spoke to staff and told them that I would pick it up later today (June 22nd) and asked if I could still have it with the $10.00 off she stated YES. I then get a call back 1hr later from someone else stating that cake was given to someone else as well and I should be happy that she gave me a free blizzard yesterday. She was very rude to me and said that if I wanted another cake I would have to order it at reg. price and pick it up whenever. I told her I was not happy one bit and they basically blamed me for their mixup.So dissapointed in their behavior! Will NEVER go to this...

I’ve been to this Dairy Queen quite a few times over the last few years. The shop is usually clean and most of the staff is pretty friendly. But in the last year, I’ve noticed the younger staff, have been extremely rude. They seem like they hate their job, they aren’t putting any care into the orders and they have no customer service experience. My boyfriend and I ordered blizzards, the young lady put the blizzards in a bag instead of a drink tray. My boyfriend asked her if we could get a tray instead so the blizzards don’t spill over. The young lady said “you want a tray! Okay then”, she literally snatched the bag, rolled her eyes, took the blizzards out of the bag, threw the bag over the counter and then stuffed the blizzards into the drink tray. One of the blizzards ended up overflowing from the pressure of her hand smacking the lid. She never made eye contact and just stuck her hand out with the tray and rolled her eyes again. This place is DISGUSTING, I waited in line for so long just to be avoided by the staff talking in the corner about their weekend. I tried to get their attention by waving my hand and they saw me and told me they’d be right there when I ended up waiting another 5-6 minutes to even order. I was about to leave as there was a lineup forming behind me when FINALLY she comes up to me to ask what I want and say “sorry” about the waiting LIKE WHAT, I waited for so long and people behind me have to wait even longer. I asked for a medium blizzard but I had a stroke trying to talk because apparent she couldn’t understand what I was saying like what? Then I waited another century to get my food and I was done. Made up my mind that I was never coming back just to be greeted with a disgusting looking blizzard, not even filled to the top, and had very little toppings inside it. I truly hate that place and...
