Update: Owner contacted to make things right. Hence edit of review.
This is a review of our experience last night at Kebab Bey. The restaurant is nicely decorated and all, but sadly the food was below par.
We wanted to order the Koobideh dish and BBQ chicken for the kids but they did not have either of these available. They only had two items from the BBQ section and no biryani either.
We tried the Beef Chapli kebab, BBQ Beef burger, Classic Beef burger and Fried chicken burger which they called their “special burger”.
It took them over 45 minutes to serve us. When the food finally came, they brought one dish every few minutes so not everyone could start eating together. The Chapli kebab was good but the naan had a burnt spot, which we chose to ignore and carry on. The fried chicken burger was cold and full of chicken fat. The BBQ beef burger had no BBQ sauce, nor any caramelized onions which were both mentioned on the menu. We mentioned that to the waitress and she said she would get us some caramelized onions. Fifteen minutes later and the burger had now got cold, she brought burnt onions. Blackened. Not caramelized. I don’t understand how the chef sent that out and then how she did not even bother to look at what she was bringing. It was ridiculous. We ate the cold burger without those. I did mention it to her later and all she said was “Oh that’s so unfortunate”. Really?
For new restaurant, they really should have been making extra sure that everything was perfectly done. There was only one other family and us at the time, so it wasn’t even that they were busy.
When we were leaving and were paying at the front desk, nobody apologized about what happened, and nobody even thanked us for coming. It was honestly a dry, unsatisfying experience and we’re not planning on going back there again. There’s definitely much better food and service at other...
Read moreThis is based on our group of 4 review : Service : We went for dinner around 8, we did not get any service until 8:30 where the waitress came and gave water jug without glasses and left. We had to wait another 10 minutes just to get glasses. Throughout, we had no waiter come and ask if we needed anything, or needed refill on water. We had to flag the waiter ourselves and even then it took time for them to listen. We ended up getting our drinks close to the end of our meal. Also, we had to go to the counter to pay the bill since no one had come to us. That being said, the owner was super friendly and he had come around, and did give options on what might be good for us.
Menu/Cost: The menu itself is small, which is straight forward and we liked. However, we did wish there were appetizers as the food took a long while before being severed (almost 40 minutes). We also did notice some of the items on the menu compared to the price point was not it.
Food: we ended up getting a platinum platter for about 80$ that had a bit of everything. From meats, rice, naan and some salad. This meal was filling amongst 4 girls and we all agreed that the meat was absolutely wonderful and juicy. The BBQ tasted fresh, and was very flavourful and juicy. We enjoyed the pishawari chapli kabab both chicken and beef. The naan was soft and very fresh. We also liked that the rice was a simple rice that accommodated to the meats. The owner, Haider did let us know that the restaurant is fairly new, and he was trying to have food that reminded us of back home. With the food and flavours he absolutely nailed that.
We all would definitely come back just for the food, more than...

I’m going to be fully honest.
This is a new restaurant. The first time we went there was a power outage in the city, it seemed just like us, others thought the same and decided to eat out. Kebab Bey was the option.
We sat and ordered and our waitress was a bit overwhelmed - understandable, it was busy out of nowhere. We ordered the Chicken Karahi and the Platinum kebab platter. We waited approximately 15 mins and our Karahi came out but not the platter. It came to the people next to us that just sat down and ordered. The owner noticed, he apologized and said it would be a few minutes. Totally ok, we’re not going to die.
The food was great! We had leftovers for home and definitely enjoyed the next day.
We went a second and third time. We planned to order in advance so it would be ready when we get there. And it definitely was, hot and fresh as soon as we sat down. Everyone enjoyed it even more. The waitresses were much more organized and had everything figured out
This is a new restaurant. I believe, anything new takes a lil bit of time to “figure out”. I feel they succeeded. As per I waited till I had gone there a few times. There may be a lack here and there. But that’s life.
5/5 all across. Food was amazing. Don’t let go of this momentum and keep the quality there. Thank you...
