Horrible customer service and poor food quality. Beware. Stay Away!
Placed my order on Thursday thru the website, got there my order wasn’t ready but the two ladies had time to chat instead of working, owner noticed so the ladies went back to work, I sat back down and waited. Got home and my meals had no labels so I had no way of telling which ones which (as a competitor this is very frustrating especially when you are counting calories), assuming they have rushed my order after being scolded by the owner. Meals immediately refrigerated when I got home. Sunday morning I went to grab one of my meals from the fridge, finding out my meals have all gone bad and spoiled. I noticed that the really bad ones are the meals with cucumbers, the vegetables are very soggy and it appears to have not been drained after washing them causing them to go bad quicker than they’re supposed to. The chicken and rice were still fine, but I paid for the whole meal and some bits of the chicken have been infected causing them to mold. I immediately went to the store, they were nice enough to replace my meals for a fresh batch. When I got home I noticed my meals are all small portions (I ordered and paid for Large portions) I am very disappointed with the customer service. I have trusted them to get my order right around the 2nd time. I drove all the way from Coquitlam to their location in Surrey only finding out that I’m wasting gas yet again. I tried getting hold of the owner but it seems they are trying to avoid interaction with customers.
I’ve tried a lot of meal prep companies, this one has got to be the worst experience I ever had with meal preps.
I just want them to get my...
Read moreTars: I had achilles tendon surgery a few years ago, and ended up gaining a lot of weight. Everything I tried on my own to get my weight back down would not work. I tried diet changes, exercise routines, shakes, vitamins, you name it I tried it. I had a friend getting meal plans from Training day cafe and he was enjoying the meals and recommended them so I decided to go talk to them. The staff was friendly and helpful and I was introduced to Par. Par sat with me and we set out some goals. We decided to start on a keto diet with my meal plans and Par set me up for 10 meals per week. I used training day cafe for my meal plans for a year. In that year, i received coaching and helpful hints from Par and Am with my diet and exercise. I was extremely happy with my results over that time. Par helped me with my meal plans and we adjusted them as needed based on reviewing my weight loss and Am helped me with my fitness goals. In one year with training day cafe I lost 24 pounds, started sleeping better, my energy levels were much higher, and I changed my habits and lifestyle for the better. I now have a very healthy diet and exercise routine built into my everyday lifestyle. I am very thankful that I took my friend's advice and went to Training Day Cafe. Thank you to the staff and management for all your help. I received a 5 star treatment from Training Day Cafe and I recommend that you contact them if you would like help with your diet and exercise. The staff truly care about you and work with you to...
Read moreAs a Sikh, I’m extremely disappointed.
I visited this restaurant and had meat without any idea that it was halal. There were no signs, stickers, menu labels, or verbal mentions from staff indicating the meat served is halal. I only found out when I returned a second time and happened to ask — otherwise, I never would have known. The only reason I was told is because I asked. Most Sikhs (and others from different faiths) likely won’t ask because there’s nothing outside or inside the restaurant that mentions it’s halal.
If I had known, I absolutely would not have eaten here. I’m sure many Sikhs, Hindus, and others who avoid halal meat for religious reasons would feel the same.
Serving religiously prepared food without disclosing it is misleading and disrespectful. Everyone deserves to make informed decisions about what they consume, especially when it directly conflicts with their beliefs — not unknowingly go against them.
This lack of transparency is unacceptable. I won’t be returning, and I sincerely hope the management takes this seriously. Clear signage and halal labels are a basic necessity. Without them, it feels...
