Very friendly servers, and very accurate with the pick up time. They told me 20 minutes, and as soon as I get there, it's ready. It's a small hole in the wall place. A little dated, but it's clean. The restaurant was empty but I think they cater mostly pick up as most there were 2 people behind me who also picked up. Taste- great taste, was hot and fresh. Not bland, not salty. They are well seasoned and not greasy at all. The only complain I have is they skimp on protein. As you can see on my picture, they only gave me 3 small pieces of almond chicken. I was surprised when I saw how little they are and only 3 pieces. The sweet and sour chicken is also not a lot. The beef chopsuey only had few pieces of beef. This is the first time I ordered Chinese food that did not have a lot of protein. Hence why I deducted 1 star. Will this turn me off and not come back? Absolutely not--I liked the taste and the service.

We stopped here as we were in Cloverdale & by previous reviews. We both had the dinner for one. The Beef Chop Suey had way too much sauce. The Chow Mein was super greasy. The Almond Chicken although not bad you only get 3 small pieces. The worst was the Sweet & Sour Pork, it was a light brown colour & looked unappealing, I tried 1 piece & wished I hadn't it was absolutely disgusting, my partner had the fried rice & said the rice was okay. So much for a night out. We definitely did not bring the left overs home & will not go there again!!!

Very much a hole in the wall. Simple, cheap, satisfying fare. Nothing fancy, but filling. Exactly what I needed this afternoon. The spicy beef was on the spicy side for me (that's on me for ordering it!). They did not skimp on the meat for either dish. The food came out piping hot. I was probably just starving eating lunch past 3 PM but the fries were so satisfying and nicely salted. The mayo was a great touch (I love it as a dip). It could be cleaner, especially the washroom (floor was sticky, and wastebin was overflowing).

My dad and I went there for lunch. The House Special Chow Mein was quite large for $16.99 and was flavourful and had shredded bbq pork, shrimp, and egg, etc. My dad is Cantonese and had been craving Chow Mein and this hit the spot for him. We also got the Ginger Soup Beef Vermicelli. I thought the bowl was small when it came out, however it was actually deeper than I was expecting and loads of noodles. The beef was velveted beef and it had some carrot, broccoli, and zucchini with it. The broth itself was light and subtle, tasting of fresh ginger and a hint of sesame oil. Due to how clear and subtle the broth is, I don’t feel guilty drinking it, like I would if it were heavily salty Pho broth (the soup at Ken’s is nothing like Pho, so don’t order it if that’s what you’re hoping to get). I almost finished all of the broth and had to take the leftovers home. When getting it to go, I was kindly given more broth to take home separately. A super nice bonus since I loved the lightness of the broth, and it was packed separately from the noodles so they wouldn’t get soggy. The place was tidy and clean and service was great. The music and volume of it made it feel quite trendy. I’m surprised it wasn’t busier as we went during lunch. I’ll definitely be back to try other items on the menu. I was told the soup can also be adjusted to not include sesame oil as well, so if told in advance, I believe they could accommodate allergies/food sensitivities since everything...

We have been looking for a good Chinese food place ever since our favourite closed down last year. Since this one had high reviews, we decided to give it a try. I'm leaving my honest review so others don't make the same mistake as us.

We ordered the dinner for 2 and deep-fried prawns for take-out. Food was okay, not fantastic but it satisfied the Chinese food craving. When I ordered, he told me it would be an hour wait. Since it was 5:30, we figured it was because of the dinner rush and said no problem.

When I picked up, the owner asked me to leave a 5-star review and gave me a free baggie of something deep-fried that looked like meat chunks - I'm guessing whatever was leftover from his deep fryer. (That's nice... not). I paid and left. I just drove away when I got a call from him, and he told me he had made a mistake and asked me to come back. I did, thinking he might've given me the wrong food. He had actually charged me the wrong price - he had charged me less, and now he was asking me for more money. I wasn't happy about that, but what could I do. It was only $10 more, but still, that doesn't leave a good impression. In my opinion, he could've just taken the hit and I would've had a better opinion of him and his restaurant.

All that to say, the search for a good Chinese...
