KFC — Restaurant in Surrey

Tonight (November 13th, 2023) at 4:43 PM, I paid for my order on the KFC application and given the "promise time: 4:58 PM At approximately 17:00 hours, I arrived and my order was not ready and i decided to make an additonal order for 10pc chicken nuggets. While I was waiting for my orders I noticed the store was not busy, there was six customers and two orders on the pick up screen of the meals being prepared. The store was unclean with sticky floors near the front till, the lids were unstocked and customers garbage left on tables. Meanwhile, there was four employees gathered and talking away from the front tills behind the entrance to the back cooking area chatting and ignoring a customer who made several requests for ketchup that went unanswered and then a lid for her drink after she noticed the stocking area was empty. I was served my 10pc nuggets and was suprised my original order was not ready yet so checked my KFC application which said my order had been served. I showed my phone with my order to one of the employees, who advised that they were just putting it together and waiting on the gravy. I felt lied to in this moment because I was watching them in the back and it was not being bagged or ready. I waited approximately fifteen minutes for my order before it was prepared and served to me at 17:21 hours. When I recieved my order it was accurate and I asked for a receipt hoping to capture the time I recieved the order but the receipt copy did not have the time or store number listed on it. The employee than apologized for the wait and than requested that I when I recieve an email to rate them, to give a high rating. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had a fantastic experience at the South Surrey White Rock KFC! Pam, the manager, went above and beyond with her customer service — polite, professional, and incredibly efficient. She personally took and prepared my order, ensuring everything was hot, fresh, and on time, including a delicious chicken wrap. The whole team is organized, courteous, and follows restaurant protocols to the dot. The dining area is also spotless and well-maintained. Big kudos to Pam and her team — you make this KFC worth coming back to every time, not just for the Tuesday deals! 👏🍗

Thank you Karan you were awesome with your customer service and understanding and cancelling the first order on time and taking the order again without any confusion and food as well was served all hot and fresh as always. Karan you went over n above expectations and yes another staff gentleman handed over the order all fresh and on time. I was looking forward to this new location but what a disappointment. Not all KFC are equal. Some are great, some are bad. The White Rock location before was pretty bad. Always sold out of certain types of chicken, not cooked properly and much smaller pieces than other fried chicken spots. This is why it probably closed down. Unfortunately this new lacation has the same issues and more. In 2 visits, no spicy chicken available both times @ peak dinner time 7pm. Chicken are so small even smaller than before. Bought a 10pc 4 were very small drumsticks, 2 very small breast, 2 small wings and 2 decent size thighs. 1st time was cooked perfect another time cooked very oily and not crispy. No butter or honey available for thier very dry biscuits. So in conclusion, this new location might even be worst than the old location. To top it all of, you won't be able to tell if they are open, as all signage are not even lit up upfront. I hope it improves bacause a properly ran KFC can be pretty damn good. Unfortunately too many are not ran properly and the franchise itself is responsible for not having consistent standards through all their location. KFC USA just in comparison is amazing.
