Panorama Lounge -Best South Indian Restaurant in British Columbia, Canada

Our New Year get-together celebration was made extra special with the incredible food from Panorama Lounge.

From the very first bite, the flavors transported us straight to South India.

Undoubtedly, the best South Indian restaurant in all of British Columbia!

Their menu is a treasure trove of authentic dishes that delight every palate.

We ordered a takeout feast, and every single dish was cooked to perfection.

The sambar was rich, aromatic, and packed with the goodness of traditional spices.

The dosas were crisp, golden, and perfectly complemented by the chutneys.

The coconut chutney was heavenly – fresh, creamy, and full of flavor.

We couldn’t get enough of the fluffy, soft idlis.

Their biryani is a masterpiece – fragrant, flavorful, and perfectly balanced.

Every dish reminded us of the vibrant street food culture of South India.

The masala vadas were crispy on the outside and bursting with spices inside.

The packing of the takeout food was impeccable, ensuring everything stayed warm and fresh.

Even the presentation of the takeout food was thoughtful and inviting.

The hospitality, even during a busy New Year’s Eve, was commendable.

The staff were polite, attentive, and ensured our order was perfect.

Their dedication to quality and authenticity is evident in every bite.

The rasam was spicy, tangy, and the perfect starter for a winter evening.

We loved the medu vada – crispy, fluffy, and absolutely delicious.

The kara kuzhambu was a delightful surprise, full of bold and tangy flavors.

The variety offered in their menu is simply unmatched.

Panorama Lounge truly celebrates the rich culinary heritage of South India.

Their commitment to using fresh ingredients shines through in the taste.

Every dish feels like it’s been made with love and care.

The paneer dishes were a perfect balance of spices and creaminess.

We were amazed by the variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.

The parottas were flaky, buttery, and just melted in our mouths.

The mutton curry was tender, flavorful, and utterly satisfying.

Their payasam dessert was a sweet ending to a perfect meal.

The ghee roast dosa was an absolute standout with its buttery, crispy texture.

The chicken 65 was spicy, tangy, and a crowd favorite at our celebration.

Panorama Lounge has truly raised the bar for South Indian food in Canada.

The quality and taste surpassed all our expectations.

Even the smallest details, like the garnishing, were on point.

The filter coffee was the cherry on top – authentic and soul-warming.

Their food brought back fond memories of trips to South India.

The pricing is reasonable, considering the top-notch quality.

It’s rare to find such authentic flavors outside of India.

The spice levels were just perfect, catering to all preferences.

Our New Year celebration was unforgettable, thanks to Panorama Lounge.

The takeaway service was efficient, timely, and hassle-free.

Panorama Lounge is truly a gem in British Columbia.

We’ve already recommended this place to all our friends and family.

It’s a must-visit for anyone craving authentic South Indian cuisine.

This restaurant has set a new standard for South Indian food in Canada.

Each dish was a celebration of rich, traditional flavors.

We can’t wait to explore more from their menu.

Thank you, Panorama Lounge, for an extraordinary culinary experience!

You’ve earned a loyal customer base with your exceptional food and service.

This place is a hidden gem, unmined and yet to be deeply explored for its authentic taste and very affordable price with extra large portions of every item in the menu. We, as a couple, have been to more than 27 countries all over Europe and as a whole about 40 countries in the world over, we never had such an amazing dining experience anywhere including our own hometown Chennai. India. This review is a bit overdue but glad that I could do it today, my second visit during the Remembrance Day long weekend. My first visit was in end September and it was a surprise retirement / 65th birthday party for me thrown by my family and we were a group of 20 people with relatives. Each and everyone attended the party had nothing but to heap mountains of compliments on every food item consumed! Not only second helping, every one went on to third and fourth helping. It’s sad that we can’t eat all the items in the menu in one single visit, though 20 people ordered more than 20 different items, multiple times. Today when we paid a casual visit, we were pleasantly surprised, as there was a Remembrance Day long weekend special ‘Goat Combo - jeeraga samba rice goat biriyani with boiled egg (Thalappakatti style), Aattu Elumbu Rasam (goat bone soup), mutton chukka, mutton thanni kuzhambu, Parotta, onion pachadi, elaneer payasam - all for just $24.99 only. We also ordered thalappakatti chicken biriyani, paneer tikka and dosa! All items were expertly crafted and burst into flavours the moment they came in contact with our palates! We certainly would like to experience every item in their menu by several visits, until we exhaust the menu fully and thereafter to stay on repeat mode, without looking for any other Indian restaurants, as this one wins the race hands down in all departments - taste, quality, price, portions and service. Chef deserves all honours who happens to be the owner too, who hails from Chennai and each item reflects his personal touch and finesse. Service is very pleasant by everyone and I want to thank Pari and Harsh who happened to serve us during our visits. Congratulations to the entire team for bringing up such a world class eatery and upkeeping the same, consistently🙏. There is ample free parking space around...

An Exceptional Dining Experience at Panorama Indian Lounge

We visited Panorama Indian Lounge with our family (two adults and two young children) and were thoroughly impressed by the overall experience. Although the restaurant was quiet—likely due to the long weekend—the ambiance was welcoming and well-maintained.

One thoughtful touch that stood out immediately was the use of plastic cups with lids for the children, while adults were served in glasses—a small but smart gesture reflecting attention to detail.

We came all the way from Maple Ridge just to try this place, and it did not disappoint.

We started with Paneer 65, which, though reminiscent of paneer pakora with a lighter batter, was delicious—especially when paired with the green mint chutney. The Tikka Chaap was phenomenal: sizzling, smoky, and bursting with flavor. As a long-time chaap lover, this dish truly exceeded expectations.

Our mains included a Mysore Masala Dosa, Kadai Paneer, and Garlic Naan, all of which were fresh and flavorful. The Kadai Paneer had a unique twist compared to traditional North Indian versions, yet it was enjoyable. The Fried Veg Rice was a perfect finale—comforting and well-balanced.

We also tried Nimbu Soda, Chocolate Shake, and Strawberry Shake. While the chocolate shake was well-prepared, the nimbu soda leaned too salty, and the strawberry shake was overly sweet for our preference.

A few suggestions for improvement: • The music volume was unnecessarily loud and detracted from the family-friendly atmosphere. • No staff member checked in with us during the meal to inquire about our satisfaction or if we needed anything else. In hospitality, this basic courtesy goes a long way.

Despite these minor issues, we had a wonderful time. The food quality, presentation, and ambiance (aside from the music) were impressive. Our total bill, including tip, came to $146—which felt fair for the overall experience.

Highly recommended for anyone seeking quality Indian cuisine with standout dishes like Tikka Chaap and Paneer 65....
