Yoko Sushi & noodles — Restaurant in Surrey

This will be my very last connection to this restaurant. I believe they practice unethical methods, and I intend to prove it with evidence through this comment.

I was a frequent customer at Yoko, until I made an order thru UberEats, and the pick up time given was 25 min. I went on time, went inside to pick up the order, the host asked for my name, went to the computer screen, did something there, then told me, that half an hour is remaining for my order. I looked at the app, and it was indeed extended, but very recently for sure. When I arrived to the restaurant, as I was parking, the pick up time wasn't extended by then. Which means the host is lying at my face and only recently changed the pick up time. Need a concrete proof? I have attached pictures with my conversation with the ubereats agent, inwhich he himself admits that the "order should be done by now"...but then the agent comes back and says "it seems that the restaurant has extended the pick up time". The funny thing is, that the shameless host lied at my face and literally said "I didn't extend anything, that was the pick up time from the very begining". The audacity of such disgusting and shameless acts, is something I don't tolerate. (My chat with the uber eats agent is attached. see pictures bellow). The agent ofc refunded me the whole amount because it seems like he knows this kind of pathetic practice of some restaurants.

I advice you to start assuming that some of your customers inwhich you practice these ridiculous acts with, are 7 star google reviewers. (Which subsequently pushes my review at one of the tops in the review list, for everyone to see. so congrats. I hope this teaches...

We have been here for a few years , but our last visit was so disappointing that we have decided to take our business somewhere else. upon entering the restaurant, we we're greeted by a person smoking outside the front door , who later we discovered he is to be our sushi maker. we wanted a avocado-salmon roll which wasn't on the menu but was told can be made, what we ended up getting was a salmon-ginger roll , WTF , cigarette smoking sushi "chef" didn't even know the difference between ginger and avocado?! once the correct roll was made, no apology was given . the kicker to it all was when the bill came; the salmon-avocado roll ended up costing more than just buying a reg salmon roll and avocado roll combined! this would have been almost acceptable if not for the fact that the server never informed us of the extra cost at time of ordering. plus we were not offered a discount on the mistake made on with the ginger /avocado issue. overall the experience was very disappointing as they made us feel as if our patronage was not wanted. with all the sushi restaurants around and opening up everyday, you would think a regular costumer is something you would want to please and keep them coming back. the service was less than accommodating and the chef was arrogant. if Yoko thinks they can treat paying costumers this way and continue as a business , time will prove them wrong. as for us , we have taken our business and...

We had an incredible lunch at YOKO Sushi, our first visit. We’re already planning our return.

Here’s what we tried: 🌋 Volcano Roll - This special roll stole the show with its dramatic flaming presentation! The hot spicy tuna paired perfectly with the hot sauce, creating flavour in every bite.

🥗 Sashimi Salad - A refreshing mix of greens topped with fresh tuna and salmon sashimi. We’ve never seen this much sashimi on a salad anywhere else. It’s a must-order!!

🍱 Oshi & Sashimi Plate—This well-prepared Yoko set features chicken karaage, house green salad, udon, fresh sashimi, and sushi rolls. It offers great variety and value for money.

The presentation was top-notch, with a real WOW factor that made every dish a feast for the eyes. Everything was incredibly fresh and flavourful, and the atmosphere was terrific, making for an enjoyable lunch meal from start to finish.
