Papa's Box — Restaurant in Surrey

My teenage daughter has been curious about trying Korean hot dogs, and originally, we were planning to visit the spot in New Westminster. But in the end, we opted for somewhere closer to home.

She went for the Sausage Potato Hot Dog, while I decided on the Mozzarella Hot Dog. The mozzarella one had that satisfying, cheesy pull and a gooey burst with the first bite, but I felt like the flavor was just a tad lacking—maybe it needed a bit more seasoning or sauce to really hit the spot.

The shop itself is quite small but cozy and inviting, making it a nice place to grab a quick snack. One thing that stood out was the staff—all young, stylish Korean girls, adding to the authentic feel of the place.

For the price, I’d say it’s fairly decent. Not the best Korean hot dog I’ve ever had, but definitely a solid choice if you’re looking for a casual,...

I would like to review Papa's Box in Lougheed mall. You can dine in and order from the kiosk or can choose up to 3 items from the counter. I chose to take out 1 item and 3 items.

Food: I chose fried rice, spicy sweet & sour chicken, rajogi, beef vege mix, and bulgogi. Fried rice was okay 7/10, spicy sweet& sour chicken was 7/10, rajogi was 6/10, beef& vege mix was 4/10, however bulgogi was outstanding 9/10. But I wish food was warmer. We were there at 12pm peak lunch time.

Service: A staff gave me less than half of the portion shown on the picture, but the owner saw my food and apologized then gave me more. I gave them a good score on how they solve the issue. 9/10

Overall: I would visit again to try other items...

This restaurant in the Lougheed Mall is by Chuihong, which is also my favoriteeee Korean-Chinese restaurant in Surrey, and is soo good!

Highly recommend if you’re craving some Korean snack foods. They even offer a few Chuihong dishes, which is great as I don’t have to drive all the way to Surrey anymore and I get to enjoy Papa’s Box at the same time. Best of both worlds!
