Me and my buddy, Abdo ordered from Rickshaw for a very delightful 2-person date and well, if you're looking for an unforgettable experience that will transport your taste buds to the heart of China, look no further than Rickshaw! This place is truly a hidden gem, and after our recent visit, I can't help but write this glowing 5-star review.

From the moment we stepped inside, the ambiance was warm and inviting, with beautiful Chinese decorations creating an authentic and immersive atmosphere. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles and were incredibly attentive throughout the entire evening, making us feel like VIP guests (He was also very handsome and good looking).

W.O.W, where do I even begin? My pal Zach and I were strolling through the vicinity of Surrey Central when an abrupt yearning for authentic Chinese food engrossed us. As we made our way through the streets, one particular restaurant, 𝑅𝒾𝒸𝓀𝓈𝒽𝒶𝓌 𝒞𝒽𝒾𝓃𝑒𝓈𝑒 𝐹𝑜𝑜𝒹, caught our eyes punctually, as if it was glistening amongst the nearby buildings. Without hesitation, we entered through the traditional doors which concealed what I deem paradise. From the moment we crossed this threshold, we were struck by an immersive and enchanting atmosphere. The tender glow of cultivated lighting created a warm embrace that was present in every corner of the room as we were immediately acquainted with a young and handsome member of the staff who took our orders.

The service was nothing short of exceptional, and the staff were more than attentive. Their knowledge of the menu, and the distinct flavours of the food, is extensive, guiding you through an array of dishes and beverages that guarantee bliss.

Then, there's the food itself - what Zach and I consider a flawless symphony of flavours meticulously concocted by accomplished chefs. The two dishes that caught my eye were the Almond Chicken and Szechuan Beef. In addition, the fortune cookie that I received suggested that my future would be bright, which not only pleased me but also influenced me to high five each member of the staff present in the restaurant.

Honest review, this used to be my family’s restaurant for all events for over a decade when it was across the street, everything was better back then but those were simpler times, they moved across the street and got new owners and the place did a complete 360 when it came to quality of food and the service. My grandma had a bad experience with the food and service here maybe 2 years ago after they moved and came under new management, I had a bad experience as well. Buuuuuuuuuuut… here’s the thing.. they have a 9.4 on skip the dishes and I can see why. Ordering the simple things here (combos) (fried rice, pork, chicken etc) are dirt cheap 20.19 total with everything to your door from skip is an amazing price for a $14.99 combo and the portion size is huge. Food is great (better than I remember) and i order it almost every week. I’ve picked it up a few times in store and met the new owners (again) with a completely different experience, the nicest couple!!!! My opinion of this place has drastically changed. Let people right their wrongs and always give a place a second chance. The 14.99$ combo and the 18.99$ combo are where it’s at!!!! I wouldn’t suggest ordering 100$ in food from here & obscure items but this is the place to go for affordable lunch and dinner combos and I would say it’s definitely worth it! Places have their ups and downs & right now this place is definitely on an upswing!!!!!! Go here and eat!!! The reviews here make this place out to be a disgusting trash dump that serves cat and dog. not true!! While they don’t deserve 5 stars totally they definitely don’t deserve a score as low as 2. Hope this helps somebody!
