TacoTime — Restaurant in Surrey

Just a disclaimer: I'm very biased. Taco Time is nostalgic bliss for me. I grew up eating Crisp Meat Burritos before I was tall enough to ride any rides at the PNE or Playland. That said, this location is a gem. Confidently located near Walmart so I can go some home shopping and skip and ignore the McD's in there and beeline it to Taco Time. The hostess is amazingly pleasant every time I go and very helpful on introducing me to menu items that I may not be aware of. Always ask her what the best items on the menu are and she will give you the answers you seek and need. This is bar none my favourite Taco Time location. And I've been to locations across Canada. So I speak from deep experience in dozens of Taco Times everywhere. And speaking just franchise vs franchise, Taco Bell has never even come close to Taco Time in my books. It's like comparing a dandelion to a mighty oak....

Similar experience to others. Service was okay but the burrito looked nothing like the picture. Small dollop of filling surrounded by 75% wrap. Disgustingly false advertising by Taco Time. Do not consider the regular sized burrito to have even a snack size worth of filling, had half the content of a cheap freezer burrito. Very disappointing. Will not waste my money here again.

EDIT: Canned reply from Taco Time shows no real concern for the issue. Pictures from other reviews showing multiple layers of tortilla with a tiny bit of filling are accurate. Reality looks nothing like the picture on menu board which shows a full burrito. I've eaten at various Taco Time locations for decades. Noticed a change in the seasoning it seemed way too spicy in the beef i had a crisp beef and the seasoning has changed. I also want to know why the queso has changed it used to be the orange flavourful cheese sauce and now its white and tasteless. Are you going to bring back the old cheese sauce the new stuff is gross i know the seasoning is brought in but just today they added chili powder and garlic powder to the tater tots and they were spicy. Why change stuff without asking. I cant handle spicy food. Makes me wonder if they added chili powder to the meat and chicken i have been going for 15 years to taco time and the flavours have changed.
