I am surprised to see so many good reviews on here . I took my family out as I wanted to take them in some nice fine dine restaurant , so I chose this place as I heard from my best friend and lots of ads on radio . Let me admit that the interior and sitting arrangement was really nice so we was so happy to be there . Then we ordered appetizer and meal with desert . We ordered platter for appetizer. Veggie pakora was burnt ( I mean burnt ) . I even call the server and ask him to touch it and asked that, is it eatable ? He shakes his head and went away to the kitchen but never shows up . Now they gave us the plates and bowls . Well , one plate have a crack on it and even both bowls had chips on them . (Pics will b added) . How come you can serve the food in broken utensils ..? And still call urself fine dine restaurant . For meal we ordered some mutka chicken on the recommendation of the server which was out of the menu item but he didn’t ask for the spice level and it was tasty but too spicy . For bread - we ordered tandoori roti and garlic naan and lachha parantha . But he got us some normal roti instead of lachha parantha and when I showed it to server and asked that, is it lachhha parantha . He shakes his head again and said that it’s not , because even he knows that it’s not and went back to kitchen and got the parantha after some time . And then finally , server was about to bring the bill and forget about the desert but then , when he was printing the bill he said that do I want the desert and I said if u can please ..! I will only say that it was not good as I am done talking bad about the whole experience.
Then finally , I paid the bill and ask the server if I can speak to the manager as my whole dinner plan got spoiled but he said that he don’t have manager . So left the restaurant with unpleasant experience. I generally don’t write anything , but it makes me thing that may be the owner even doesn’t aware of these things as they happen and no place to report or no person to contact . I believe this place got great location , best interior and nice ambiance but lack of food quality and don’t have proper people to handle the business . Because in the food industry every little things counts , even though these guys are making blunders and don’t even worry about it .
I tried to add pictures but it’s doenst heave me the option but I have them Incase u...
Read moreThis place is very inconsistent, sometimes the food is good sometimes the quality is off. Last experience I had here was very awful. The person I was with and me ordered our food separately. They wanted their dish spicy and when it was my turn I just said butter chicken. When my food arrived my butter chicken was extremely spicy. I had raita (yogurt with veg) along with rice but the spice from the butter chicken was overwhelming. I asked the waiter why the butter chicken was spicy because it's usually a sweet dish and the default option is typically mild. The waiter said since the person I was with wanted their dish spicy she made mine as well. I asked her if she could remake the butter chicken mild. She asked to take the spicy one she gave me. I said sure as it was too spicy for me to eat anyways. She returned within 5 minutes and it was very obvious the kitchen just added cream mixed it and brought it back. The sides of the bowl were still darker orange signaling that it was the exact same butter chicken dish. It was slightly less spicy but it didn't taste like the mild butter chicken I ate here several times before. When I asked the waitress if the butter chicken was remade she lied to my face and said it was. When I questioned that the taste didn't change much and how quick she brought out a "newly" made dish she said she will talk to the kitchen. At this point I just ate the spicy butter chicken and cut my losses and moved on. She returned 10-15 minutes later saying the kitchen will remake it but I told her to leave it now as my dining experience was ruined since the person I went with already fully ate. To be fair she did remove the butter chicken from the bill but I found them trying to save the butter chicken ridiculous on top of lying to my face. I would have happily paid for a new one if that's what they wanted. Next time for Indian food I'm...
Read moreI have tried this place for the second time now but it was disappointment both the time. First time was when this restaurant newly opened in South Surrey. The food and service were both below standards. But I thought that this was because they are new and things will improve eventually. Second time was just this past weekend (sep18, 2021), when me and my husband went for a romantic date. We decided to dine in at Curry lounge. We were asked to wait 45 minutes, which we did. Then they called us and said that our table will be ready in another half an hour.or they could give us a table outside the building. As it was cold that night, we refused to sit outside. They offered us a couple of seats at the bar counter while we wait for the table to get ready. After waiting for another 45 minutes, we finally got a table in a corner where they had piled their extra chairs. Anyways, we did not say anything and accepted the table that was offered. After that we sat there for about 50 minutes but NOBODY came to acknowledge us or ask us what we wanted to order. First we thought they were busy, so we gave them time, but finally after about 50 minutes of sitting at the table my husband got up and went to talk to the servers. Finally, one lady came and took our order. The food came after half an hour and the food was pathetic, trust me it was pathetic. The breads came after a gap of another 45 minutes.
Overall we wasted 4 hours of our time at this stupid place. At the end we politely asked the server to call the manager on duty and the server said that there was no manager on duty. We asked her to pass on our feedback to the managers, to which she refused saying that the feedback will go against her. She did not offer any apology or compensation. We left very dosas we had just ruined 4 hours of our precious evening.
It was horrendous experience. I’m never...
