Over rated. A friend and I walked in the restaurant and there was no one at the front. We waited patiently and a lady with long blonde hair came to greet us. I asked her if we could take a look at the menu as I was craving brunch items. This is how the conversation went:
Liberty Kitchen staff (LK): Hi. (As she walked out to the front.) Me: "Hello, we were wondering if we could take a look at the menu please." LK: (Handed the menu to us.) Me: (Read the menu and did not see a brunch section.) "Do you serve brunch by any chance?" LK: (Shook her head.) Me: (Felt awkward about her lack of enthusiasm.) "So this menu is what you have?"
At that point, I was a bit thrown off by her aloofness and lack of help. To make the matter worse, she said,
LK: "Would you step off to the side?" Me: (A bit confused, as I looked around and there were no other guests.). "Where would you like me to stand?" LK: "Just to the side so I can help those customers."
There were no other customers inside the restaurant at the front. There were 4 customers outside of the restaurant and they were chatting and not in a rush to be helped. Here we were, two customers standing in front of her who she failed to greet in a timely or warmly manner. Her tone and attitude made me feel like I was spoken to by an uptight police officer. Not only she scanned me from head to toe, she did not assist us with the menu or offer a bit of hospitality that a restaurant of your reputation would normally deliver. I told my friend, we could do better, we gave the menu back and walked out of your restaurant.
As someone who dines out 3-5 times a week, I know this is not standard treatment. This shoddy customer service lead me to feel that she was profiling us. It did not feel like she wanted us to dine in there at all. Would you have eaten somewhere that didn't make you feel welcomed and have someone with that energy serve your food?
My friend and I ended up going to another nearby restaurant and was immediately greeted with kindness. The difference in the treatment from the two restaurants was day and night. The reason I am writing to you is to bring this incident to your attention, in hopes that your staff can learn how to treat everyone equally with respect regardless of their racial background, gender, fashion taste and whatever that caused her to be so discourteous to us.

Read moreMy party of 6 went to the Surrey location for happy hour and spent 200$ between 4 adults and 2 little kids - not a big bill but a big experience. We ordered absolutely everything from the happy hour menu. When the bill came, the 2 pizzas we ordered were just under 20$ and not the 12$ that was indicated on the happy hour menu which we scanned from the QR code on the table.
We asked our server who from the start, who was not the most engaging why it was so and she explained that the pizzas on the happy hour menu that we ordered from were much smaller and therefore gave us the pizzas from the regular menu.because we were a big party. Did she explain this in the beginning ?
NO.
She took the liberty of taking the order from the regular menu with the regular prices without saying anything and it was very clear that we were ordering from the happy hour menu.
Did she apologize ?
HARDLY.
We called the manager and who HARDLY apologized about it as well.
This said - I am from Vancouver but went to LIBERTY because my son who lives In White Rock said he has never been there. We have been to SNL and BROWNs and will never go back to LIBERTY not so much for the menu misunderstanding brought from the lack of the server to be more engaging, but the principle of bad attitude.by both the server and the Manager on duty.
I learned to from my son who 'frequents' BLAIZE Pizza, a block away from LIBERTY - that BLAIZE served the same size pizzas from LIBERTY's regular menu with amazing flavors for the similar prize of 12$.
I am from a big corporation who frequently has larger orders for catering and this experience is certainly not going to take me to LIBERTY.

Read moreLet me start by saying that we thoroughly enjoyed the food and appreciated the attentive service provided by the staff. However, there was a matter that left us perplexed and frustrated - the inclusion of a "Kitchen Service Charge" on our bill, amounting to $0.50. Upon receiving the bill, we were surprised to see this additional charge and sought clarification from our server, who was unable to provide a satisfactory explanation. Subsequently, we approached the manager on duty, hoping for clarity on the purpose of this fee. Unfortunately, even the manager was unable to offer a coherent explanation for the "Kitchen Service Charge." Our confusion arises from the fact that we believe the cost of preparing and serving meals is generally included in the menu prices. We understand that running a restaurant involves various operational expenses, including wages for kitchen staff. However, it is unclear why patrons are being charged an additional fee specifically labeled as a "Kitchen Service Charge." It raises questions about transparency and the rationale behind such a charge. If kitchen staff wages are already factored into the overall pricing structure, we fail to comprehend why customers should be burdened with an extra fee for the services that are intrinsic to running a restaurant. As patrons, we value transparency and fairness in pricing. It is disheartening to encounter an unexplained charge that seems to lack a clear purpose. We kindly request that you provide a detailed explanation for the "Kitchen Service Charge" and reconsider its necessity. If this charge is indeed justified, we believe that customers deserve to be informed about it openly and...
