Shipwreck Lee's is a must-visit restaurant if you find yourself in Tobermory. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. The decor is unique and quirky, with plenty of nautical touches that add to the experience.

The service at Shipwreck Lee's is truly outstanding. The staff members are incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure you feel comfortable and well taken care of throughout your meal. They are happy to answer any questions you may have about the menu, and even provide recommendations based on your preferences.

As for the food, the fish and chips are definitely the standout dish. The fish is fresh and flaky, with a perfectly crispy coating that is not too heavy or greasy. The portion size is generous, and it comes with a side of fries and coleslaw. The batter on the fish is light and flavorful, and the fries are crispy and perfectly seasoned. It's the perfect comfort food to enjoy after a long day exploring Tobermory.

One thing to note is that the restaurant can get quite busy, especially during peak hours. However, the staff do a great job of managing the crowds and ensuring that everyone is seated in a timely manner. It's definitely worth the wait, and the relaxed atmosphere makes it a great place to unwind and enjoy a meal.

Overall, Shipwreck Lee's is a great spot to grab a bite to eat while in Tobermory. With its excellent service, tasty food, and fun atmosphere, it's definitely worth a visit. I highly recommend trying the fish and chips – you won't be...

Shipwreck Lee's - Tobermory: A Great Spot for Tasty Seafood

If you find yourself in Tobermory, you’ve got to check out Shipwreck Lee's. It’s got this cool nautical vibe that fits perfectly with the town's maritime feel.

Vibe and Setting: Shipwreck Lee's is all about that laid-back, sea-themed decor. Think ship wheels, fishing nets, and lots of ocean-themed knick-knacks. You can sit inside or enjoy the fresh air on their patio. Either way, it’s a super chill place to hang out.

Food and Drinks: The highlight here is definitely the fish and chips. The fish is super fresh and the batter is crispy and golden, just how you want it. The fries are spot on too, especially with their tangy tartar sauce.

They’ve got more than just fish and chips, though. You can dive into some tasty shrimp, and calamari. If seafood isn’t your thing, don’t worry—they have other options too.

When it comes to drinks, they’ve got a nice selection of local beer that go great with the food.

Service: The staff at Shipwreck Lee's are super friendly and quick. They know their stuff and are happy to help with recommendations. Even when it gets busy, they keep things running smoothly.

Overall: Shipwreck Lee's in Tobermory is a must-visit if you’re in the area. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the service is top-notch. It’s the perfect spot to grab a bite and soak in some local flavor....

On our first trip to Tobermory 3 years ago (we're from the US), we stumbled upon this rather strange looking place with a waving skeleton outside. We had to try it and boy were we glad we did! The pirate that waited on us (see 1st photo from 3 yrs ago ) was the best and very much seemed to enjoy his work. All you can eat fish and chips with some of the best tasting fish I had ever had. We decided that next time we were in the area this would be the first place we would stop. True to our word 3 yrs later and we are back.

And again the place didn't disappoint. Even the same friendly pirate greeted us again (see next set of pictures), and the waitress we had was friendly and she was really quick with getting our orders to us. Of course we had the all you can eat fish. This fish is addictive, crave worthy, stupid good food. The breading is perfect. Crunchy without being hard. The fish comes out hot so be careful with the first bite but that's the way you want it. And the quality of the food is top of the chart.

The decor is crazy cool. Surf boards, skeletons, shrunken heads, and pirates. Oh. And Jimmy Buffet music playing in the background. It makes for a memorable dining experience. I'm hooked. It is about a 16-17 hour drive from my house in Indiana to Shipwreck Lee's. I'm tempted to make a bandit run next weekend just for another taste of the fish. It's...
