Cozy, serene space with relaxing tunes and a sweet owner (Sahar!) š„¹š«¶
Boyfriend and I came here to cowork together and was greeted by Sahar, the cafƩ's lovely owner! I loved the music. They played classical and bossa nova songs while I was here.
There is a variety of seating available, from rattan chairs at a medium-sized table to beanbags, higher chairs by the windows, and outdoor seating, there is a seat for the vibe you want. āŗļø I liked that there were flowers and plants thoughtfully placed around the space, which brightened up the cafĆ©.
I ordered the matcha latte, and raspberry scone. I was drawn to the fresh raspberry, swirled butter, and raspberry jam on top of the scone. I immediately knew upon coming in that this was the pastry I wanted to try. I also got the matcha latte, which was pretty good! It was slightly sweet and went well with the scone.
I really loved the scone! To my delightful surprise, it had another raspberry inside of it. The scone had a little buttery texture to it, and I think the added butter on top was just the right amount and didn't overpower the jam that came with it. I would definitely want to order their other fruit flavoured scones next time.
Other things to note: There is a washroom on site! It's down the hallway behind the black door. There aren't a lot of outlets (There was one beside the table), so if you plan to spend a long time here, this is something to be mindful of. There is wifi here. The password is found on a frame in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEvery time I come to Toronto from New York, thereās one place I absolutely have to return to: 5s cafe (House of Persia). Iāve been to Toronto several times as a Hip Hop artist for shows and projects, and once I discovered this delightful gem, it instantly became my home away from home.
The coffee, tea, and Persian treats are absolutely incredible, some of the best Iāve ever had anywhere. Stepping inside feels like stepping into another world. Itās warm, safe, welcoming, and filled with love. But what truly makes this place magical is Sahar.
Sahar is one of the most luminous, kind, and loving souls I have ever met. She has this rare gift of making every single person feel seen, cared for, and embraced. Her light fills the room, and her presence turns a cafe visit into something unforgettable. She doesnāt just serve beautiful delicacies, she creates community, connection, and genuine love.
I wonāt even think of going to another cafe in Toronto. 5s cafe welcomes you into a Persian home, wrapped in warmth, authenticity, hospitality, radiance, and compassion.
If you are ever in Toronto, do yourself a favor and make the 5s a destination. Youāll enjoy exquisite flavors and aromas and leave with your heart fuller. This is more than a cafe. Itās a place of love, light, and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWould have likely been 5star tea review if had a chance to experience when kitchen was fully operable.
I could see the cute teapot and teacup sets in back but they couldnāt use them due to issues with sink. Also didnāt get a chance to try the in house baked goods due to kitchen not fully operable.
Service was excellent - he was very patient explaining the Tea options, giving recommendations. Had to use a paper cup but still offered to bring saffron rock candy for sweetener accented with a rose in. Pretty dish. To complete the experience of such clearly fine teas I purchased a mug down the street which he offered to help rinse out food me and very understanding.
Tea quality - great. I didnāt see the green saffron tea bash or loose leaf being made but the saffron aroma was heavenly. Reminded me of how much I miss saffron accented teas.
Charming, artsy vintage vibe. I also had a seat at community Tea dining table to do some work which was a chance Iād pace. Btw - kitchen plans to be open end of week but Iāll be gone from...
