I'm very sad to say I was not happy with the Pho I had today. $20 waisted! I work very close to this location and as I've been sick for the last few days I figured I would give them a try. Being a local store manager, I try to support my neighbors, however I don't think I'll order from them again. When I walked in the woman who "greeted me" acted pretty annoyed at first and talked over me. It wasn't until I was killing her with kindness that she even cracked a smile. (It shouldn't be this way, I shouldn't have to overextend myself, it should be the other way around!) The Pho was mediocre at best! I dint like to give poor reviews as I'm in Customer service however I feel the owners should maybe know that the service is, in most part, the reason I'm doing this ... if I wasn't sick and really wanting Pho, I would have walked out. And what I received I had to add hot water from my kettle too(i dont have a microwave at work), in order to make it hot enough to cook the beef. I was very disappointed as I would have suggested my customers go there, but for what I spent on what I got and the service I received, I will not! I should hope you take this review to heart and perhaps train your staff to be a bit more personable when customers first walk in (I'll say she was kind once she noticed the tip I left, I would also like to add as I feel it should be known the Asian customers who came in got quite a warm greeting from her (I'm white) I don't want to say it but it was evident the differencein treatment, that's appalling) Please just be aware this is what's happening in your...
Read moreLike at least one other reviewer here, I don’t get why this downtown pho spot has gotten such amazing reviews and all those awards. To be fair, the people who work here were very friendly and service was very good. But the broth was very average at best, the beef dry and looked like it was pre-sliced, and the fresh rolls, while massive and well presented, were pretty average as well.
I don’t enjoy leaving bad reviews, especially when the staff were so nice, but this place just had nothing special about it. The service and atmosphere are nice, but the food was nothing to write home about. The previous business at this address was a pho restaurant and the food tasted almost identical. It made me wonder if they’d just changed over in name, but who knows. What I do know is pho from here or at this address won’t be happening again. Not worth the risk. It’s also quite pricey, with two fresh rolls and a small bowl of soup costing $35 after tip. Somebody wrote this was the best in the city. I’d say, that’s...

Compared to other places, I do think the sauces available on the table are a bit on the short side. Personally, I don’t think sriracha pairs well with pho—it’s too sour and too overpowering for the broth.
As for the food, I loved the pho—no complaints there. The sauces that come with the Shrimp Rolls were a bit too sweet for my taste, though the rolls themselves were interesting with bean sprouts and lemongrass inside. The highlight for me was the Avocado Milkshake: super fresh and not overly sweet. I’d recommend asking for less sugar, but either way, it’s absolutely worth trying.
They do take AMEX, which is a plus, and the service is...
