A&W Canada — Restaurant in Toronto

I went here for dinner at around 8:30 pm on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 (just after the Beaches Library right across the street had closed for the night).

Even though there were no problems with respect to what I had ordered for dinner (a Double Mozza burger combo), I still have two important issues to raise here:

1. I did not, as a patron, appreciate being rushed to finish my dinner upon ordering because the restaurant itself closed the dining area at 9:00 pm (along with waiting the better part of 10 minutes just to get my dinner served to me).

2. The fact that access to the washroom facilities was blocked (which, in turn, is a violation of the City of Toronto Health Code). That, to me, is an indication that the people who both own and operate this A&W franchise operation are obviously “too cheap” to be bothered maintaining the washroom facilities on a regular basis.

In the end, unless there is access to the washroom facilities, I will never be dining at this particular A&W in the immediate future [along with cleaning the tables as well (even more so considering how tony a neighbourhood The Beach is, to...

The manager in this location is EXTREMELY disrespectful, there are 2 specific staff members I am talking about. I come here frequently and experience nothing but rude customer service not even towards myself but towards other people. There’s 1 woman here who seems to be in charge and she’s incredibly disrespectful, I witnessed her yelling at a customer all because he asked for extra napkins and she told him to grab paper towel. He explained RESPECTFULLY how it’s not the same n how he would jus like some napkins and she tossed it over the counter at him. I’ve walked in here before and not even 1 minutes goes by and they’re asking if I’m ordering even though I am trying to set my stuff down at a table before I do so because I planned to dine in. I have had my order almost thrown across the table rather than handed to me When I have extended my hand to grab it.

This location needs unbiased management to upkeep the sanitary standards. The dining area is a dirty, not cleaned after each seating. The staff are oblivious of the condition of the dining room. Basic such as lining up chairs and tables. Picking up napkins off the floor. The most offensive part to me is that the lady who packed my onions rings touched 2 of my onion rings with her bare hands Yuck. The bill did not come out the right amount with 2$ donations coupon with onion rings upgrade for 1$. The impression is that if you can’t manage details, or lend a blind eye. I asked the lady to wipe my table, she wet a paper napkin and wipe without any sanitizer cleaner. This A & W failed to protect your patrons from Pandemic. The onion rings were over seasoned for my taste, it is not like the other stores. Uncle burger meat was dry. Ladies spoke loud in their language, filled the entire dining room, it was annoying, I...
