Aroma Espresso Bar — Restaurant in Toronto

I've visited this location last week and was so excited that patios finally opened. The food was great, however the service was terrible! They have 3 umbrellas, 2 of which were open but occupied, so I've asked an employee(an asian female) to open the last umbrella to which she responded "there is a line" - understandable , no problem here BUT then she proceeded and added " you can do it yourself, just roll the thing up but I wouldn't do it if I was you because it can fall and hurt someone" I was shook by a response like that! As far as I know clients/customers are not allowed to touch equipment in any service industry as it could be a very big health and safety hazard in case anything happened AND all employees are supposed to get a health and safety training! She did not need to do it at that very moment but she could've done it when there was no other customers. I was there for around an hour and the place was very empty and she was just standing there. Ever since the new owners have taken over, the service has gone down. I used to come here almost daily but the coffee has lost taste, the service is slow and there hardly seems to be anyone who smiles behind the counter anymore. After a couple of minutes of waiting on my behalf, watching the server aimlessly wander about, he sauntered around the bar to take my order. 'Is that all? ' was the question to my ordering just two lattes. Without even making eye contact, he then dropped my change in the region of where he thought my hand probably would be. Whether all the former personnel has been fired or they left...the atmosphere and experience now don't entice me to come more than once every couple of weeks. It's a shame because the coffee was the very best.

As I truly love the coffee by this brand, and I on occasion kept coming in...things have much improved. Service is better and everyobe seems to have found their rythm. Quality and service...

Very very disappointed with this particular outlet. This was our 3rd visit, we have felt disappointed all 3 times. The person behind the counter taking our order didn't smile, she barely cared and was so disinterested in serving us. I think it was selective, my spouse doesn't think so. The bathroom was disgusting. We ordered a couple of fig and goat cheese croissants (our favorite and regular order). We've been having this almost every week at a different outlet at midtown and we love how they make it. But this one was horrible - overdose of honey, soggy and small portion, barely anything that tasted like figs, almost no rocket leaves at all. It was almost like the person who prepared this was disinterested in preparing it. Next, the hot chocolate - it was horrible. There was nothing chocolate about it or hot either. My spouse spat it out right away. Extremely disappointed. We gave this place 3 chances and that would...
