We've been to Atto Sushi twice and both times were exceptional experiences. This might be one of the best sushi spots in the city, unsurprisingly so, as I've come to learn that some of the best food finds in the city are located in little unassuming cornershops. A growing rarity with pretentiousness becoming the growing trend in Toronto.

Their Maki Sushi Platter is an excellent option for two, and the chef offered us free miso soup when dining in both times we've went (usually a $3 value each). The platter is varied with everything from salmon to eel and beautifully presented, each piece tasting unique from the other in the best ways possible. Small dabs of wasabi are present on some of the included pieces, adding a little kick without being too overbearing. These are quality cuts prepared with care at a fair price point for the skill involved, brought to the table in a timely manner.

The ambiance has also changed quite a lot since the first time we went months ago. Seating used to be a bunch of tables and chairs hastily put against the wall with paper cutout menus. Last night, the tables were set more in a "diner" style with tall cushioned booths and cute candles placed at each table - a much more intimate dining experience. Service has been top notch both times we've went as well, they have a good...

Quality is not as same as before. I often ordered Atto Chirashi rice bowl since liked Atto sushi and the quality of their food since Covid time. However tonight my Chirashi rice bowl is nothing but disappointment. Quantity of rice gone up, but the quality went down; previously rice seasoned well with seaweed bits and sesame seeds with full of flavour. Not anymore. Sashimi size went down; sadly sashimi pieces are smaller. Less garnish on rice bowl than before. I did liked bits of arugula ( or other greens) enhanced the flavour of overall rice bowl. First pic is old days rice bowl vs 2nd photo is my dinner tonight. FYI, when I ordered Chirashi bowl from Atto sushi for the first time when the price was 19$. Then it went up slowly( which I understood well+ I still enjoyed their good quality of food). Now it’s 24$. I wish Atto sushi kept their quality as...

Chicken karage comes in measly 4 pcs The salad came in that looked like scraps of tinny little lettuce, didnt bother to make it at least half the container.🤣😂 the sushi is 1/4 of my thumb, the fish was so tiny and the rice was so little😁😆😂 Not sure if i had to laugh or cry for paying almost $40 for this food. Seriously, is this a joke?😅 To add to it, the fish is not fresh, the karage is super dry. I’m not sure what’s the hype about this place, people making 5 star reviews were either duped into making the review and was paid off by the free sushi anwyays whatever it is - I’m definitely not wasting my bucks 💰 here again....
