Extremely disappointing experience – would not recommend. Safety concerns!

We waited nearly 50 minutes without being informed of any delay when we arrived. After being seated, no one offered us water or explained that we had to place our order at the counter — we only found out after 20 minutes when we asked.

You’re required to pay upfront before receiving any service. This setup seems to make any feedback feel pointless — since once they have your money, there’s no accountability. I even suggested to the staff that they should inform customers about the wait time before taking payment so people know what to expect, but clearly nothing was being done. Customers who ordered after us said they also weren’t warned, and several tables walked out after waiting over an hour and a half without receiving their food and even warned us while we were waiting.

Despite repeated complaints from guests, the staff showed no urgency or care. At one point, the chef even told us, “People have waited longer than you, so don’t complain,” which was incredibly dismissive.

When our food finally arrived, the chole bhature were cold. We had to ask for a hot plate, which they brought out a few minutes later. Then the veggie naan tacos arrived — and my friend bit into a large tamarind seed, causing pain and discomfort. When we brought this to the staff’s attention, the chef acknowledged it but only offered a partial refund, claiming we had eaten half the dish.

After all the delays, lack of transparency, poor service, cold food, and a literal safety concern, the unwillingness to take responsibility or resolve the concerns was shocking. We declined the partial refund and left extremely disappointed.

Poorly managed, understaffed, and completely lacking in customer service — definitely not worth your...

Baazigar - Original Taste of India in Toronto

Located in the heart of Toronto, Baazigar offers a delightful culinary journey through the vibrant flavors of India. As a connoisseur of Indian cuisine, I was thoroughly impressed by the authenticity and quality of the dishes served here.

Upon entering Baazigar, one is greeted by a warm and inviting ambiance, tastefully decorated with elements reflecting Indian culture. The attentive staff further enhance the dining experience, providing knowledgeable recommendations and attentive service throughout the meal.

The menu at Baazigar boasts a wide array of traditional Indian dishes, each prepared with care and attention to detail. From classic favorites biryani to lesser-known regional specialties, there is something to satisfy every palate. The use of fresh, high-quality ingredients is evident in every bite, elevating the dining experience to a truly memorable level.

During my visit, I had the pleasure of trying several dishes like Desi noodles, panipuri, Cauliflower all of which exceeded my expectations. The boryani was rich and flavorful, with a perfect balance of spices and creaminess. The panipuri packed a punch with its fiery yet nuanced flavor profile. Accompanied by fragrant basmati rice and freshly baked naan, every dish was a testament to the chef's skill and passion for Indian cuisine.

The desserts at Baazigar are not to be missed either. The gulab jamun was decadently sweet and served warm, a perfect finale to an exceptional meal.

Overall, Baazigar is a standout Indian restaurant in Toronto, offering an authentic taste of India that is sure to delight even the most discerning of diners. Whether you are a seasoned enthusiast of Indian cuisine or simply looking to explore new flavors, a visit to Baazigar is highly...

Baazigar Restaurant, located in the heart of Spadina, Downtown, provides a one-of-a-kind dining experience with its lively Bollywood-inspired setting. From the moment you walk in, you are taken to the glamor and glamour of Indian film, with movie posters, bright design, and famous Bollywood soundtracks setting the tone. We had a variety of foods, each with its own distinct twist: Chole Bhature: This traditional North Indian dish was a standout. The fluffy bhature went nicely with the spicy, delicious chole. The spice balance was perfect, providing for a delicious start to our meal.

Cream Schezwan Momos: This fusion cuisine perfectly combines Indian and Chinese flavors. Momos were nicely cooked with a creamy Schezwan sauce that had just the proper quantity. It was an intriguing and tasty blend.

Butter Chicken Tacos: A unique combination of Indian and Mexican cuisines. The butter chicken was thick and creamy, and the taco shell provided a satisfying crunch. It's a must-try for anyone who enjoys trying new dishes.

Chicken Chow Mein: The meal was well prepared, featuring tender chicken and perfectly cooked noodles. The tastes were well-balanced, making for a nice finale to our meal. Overall, Baazigar Restaurant provides a great dining experience with its diverse food and Bollywood-inspired ambiance. It's an excellent place to have a lunch with friends or family, especially if you want to experience something new and adventurous. Highly...

A Taste of India in the Heart of Toronto! This casual spot is full of energy and character, with a super fun Bollywood theme that instantly transports you to the streets of India. From vintage movie posters to colorful decor and upbeat music, the vibe is lively and nostalgic — but the real highlight is the food. I tried a few dishes, and every single one was a hit: Chole Bhature: The star of the meal. The bhature were perfectly fluffy and fried, paired with rich, spicy, and flavorful chole. It was comforting, authentic, and packed with flavor. Chilli Fries: A creative and delicious fusion. Crispy fries topped with an Indo-Chinese-style chili sauce — spicy, tangy, and totally addictive. Samosa Chaat: Classic street food done right. The samosas were crisp and flavorful, served with layers of chutneys, yogurt, and spices. Every bite was a perfect mix of textures and taste. Chicken Tikka Kathi Roll: Tender, juicy chicken tikka wrapped in a soft paratha with just the right balance of sauce and veggies. Smoky, satisfying, and full of flavor. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and well-seasoned. The portions were generous, and the experience genuinely reminded me of India — not just the food, but the whole atmosphere. If you’re looking for a place that brings real Indian street food vibes with a fun twist, Baazigar is a must-visit. I can’t wait to come back and try more from their menu!
