From the U.S, came on vacation.
food: Meat was indeed fresh with salt added, hence the burger was overall good (no ketchup or mustard needed). Bread was not toasted, and burger was not prepared nicely for me to appreciate the ingredients all together.
waitresses: Attire was not work appropriate and I believe hair should be tied if your handling hot foods. We were a group of four people sitting next to one another and we ordered the same thing except one person got different fries. Waitress called our number gave two of us our food and gave the other 2 food trays to the wrong people. and when they handed over the fries which came last they handed it to me although I did not order those fries so I passed it along. Clearly they didn't know who ordered, but more importantly or bother to ask to hand it to the right person.
restaurant environment: More of hole in the wall place with tight spaces and even more congested with constant flow of people. Black walls of course make the place seem even more small and dim. White walls would have done wonders to brighten up the area. But ofcourse people are there for the food not the ambience.
location: Very narrow and worn out area with lots of little mini shops and old houses and we ended up parking on side street. Don't go at night unless your familiar...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I travelled from Sydney and had heard great things about this place. We both had intended to order a beef based burger, however I was stopped half way through our two burger order to be told by staff that: “the kitchen had run out of beef” and that they could only do my girlfriend’s burger (who had ordered hers seconds before me). I was then told that I had to order a chicken based burger. I thought it was strange - but no big deal at that point. We placed our order and got a side of sweet potato fries on the side.
When our order came out approximately 35 minutes later, we were served with stone cold fries and the chicken strips in my burger were utterly burnt. I don’t normally engage in negative feedback from restaurants but we were both extremely disappointed with the food and experience. I understand they take pride in providing freshly sourced meat... but how do you run out a core ingredient (which the majority of the menu requires) by 6:45 on a Saturday evening? Isn’t that before the peek period of dining? I simply don’t understand. Further more, people either side of us, who had ordered in line prior to us, all had beef burgers.
We would have engaged in asking for a refund but I was not able to locate any of the two staff members working on the floor...
Read moreThis place would get five stars if it was strictly based on the taste and value of their products. It was fresh, seasoned well and made with quality ingredients. We ordered the wildcat and the hellcat, fries and a chocolate shake. However, I had to take one star off because they didn’t notice I had placed an online order, so when I arrived they repeatedly asked for my order number and had to dig around to find it before beginning to cook my order. It wasn’t busy, but I was told they missed the order due to shift turn over. But as I received takeout bags, I realized the $6 milkshake was like chocolate soup (it was thin and they also made it right when the burgers went on the stove, so it was sitting out for some time). The fries were also a size smaller than what I paid for. They weren’t overly apologetic but they were nice enough to rectify the situation and make a new milk shake, though now it’s been over 30 minutes since I placed my order. All was forgiven when we took our first bite of our gooey goodness mess of a delicious burger. Unfortunately after wolfing down about 90% of it did we realize the patty in the center was red (not pink or brown)... so another star removed. Luckily it’s been several hours and no one is sick and I’m still wanting to go back! So... worth...
