Girls night out went to have KFC (Korean Fried chicken).
BBQ chicken is popular KFC brand.
It is nice to have KFC on Danforth, easy walk from either Chester or Pape station.
The atmosphere is nice, easy going pub feel the music is loud enough for privacy but quiet enough for chatting.
Chicken is juicy and crispy, really nicely fried no chicken funk what so ever. We had golden fried chicken and secret sauce chicken. GFC had nice little bite to it and was my favorite but my friends loved the SSC. If you really like spicy try Mala Chicken, I heard it is amazing.
We also had Spicy tteokbokki and cheese balls. Spicy tteokbokki is SPICY but very addictive. I had cheese balls for first time and loved it really helped with spice.
The portion for fries are generous and crispy bistro style. Cheeseling fries is very Korean sweet salty favour combo.
I rarely give 5 stars on first visit but my friends are already regulars and I will definitely be going back so if your craving chicken and beer go.
FYI they are having BOGO event for dine in till...

As you walk in you’ll be welcomed by a strong bathroom smell for some reason, even if the place is big and the entrance is nowhere close to the bathroom. It looks like there is only one person working on the entire floor so you’ll have to wait a while to be given a table or even to order take out. Let alone how long they will make you wait for the food to actually come out. I got rice cakes and the chicken with their special sauce. The rice cakes were supposed to be served with fish cakes, which were nowhere. The portion was also just full of cabbage and chunks of sausage but just a few overcooked rice cakes in total, more or a meat meal. As I bite into the chicken I can feel my teeth immediately hurting because of how sweet their secret sauce is, way too much to enjoy it as it’s not even a sweet and sour but plain sugar/honey. Overall considering 2 portions for take out were $42 and what we received, I doubt I will be coming back here even if I usually enjoy this...
Read moreSo excited to have a Korean spot on the Danforth. Prices seem high at first, but a single order of fried chicken is enough for two people if you add a couple sides.
We tried the bone-in chicken with secret sauce, which was basically a half-chicken cut up into 8 pieces. Coating was super crispy and did not fall off (one of my pet peeves when I get fried chicken), and the meat was super juicy and flavourful. I found the secret sauce a little too sweet for my tastes, but that’s more a matter of personal taste and I am excited to try out one of many other sauce/topping options next time.
We also got coleslaw and corn salad on the side. Both were very fresh, and the creamy dressing is a nice contrast with the crispy chicken.
It was a nice surprise to get the happy hour discount on the bill, but even at full price it’s a good deal compared to many other spots in the neighbourhood. Definitely going back again to try some of the Korean dishes...
