I have visited this restaurant twice. Once in January 2025, the second in June 2025. While the restaurant has a nice ambiance and the staff are friendly, they seriously need to work on their service. Both times in took over an hour for me and people I visited with to get our meals. The last time I visited was the worst. One of the people in my group did not get his food. We reminded them severally but they kept forgetting. Finally at the end of the night when we were about to leave they apologized and said they can give him the meal at a 50% discount. My group pre-ordered all our meals days before we visited yet even after waiting some members in my group where told no Jollof rice. And to pick something else. Why this wasn't communicated until we asked?? I dont know. All in all do not go if you are really hungry as they will waste your time. The management needs to really work on their service. The Icon truly lives up to its name! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with top tier service and an ambiance that perfectly balances elegance and comfort. The attention to detail in both the decor and the menu is unmatched.

The food was absolutely phenomenal. The Icon shrimp dish I tried was beautifully presented and bursting with flavour.

The drinks were equally impressive, with unique combinations that felt both sophisticated and fun.

What truly sets The Icon apart is the impeccable service. Our server, Obinna, was knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu. He made excellent recommendations and ensured I had everything I needed without ever feeling rushed.

We came to Canada from the Uk for vacation and we had the most beautiful experience at this African restaurant in Toronto! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt like home—warm, welcoming, and filled with the aroma of authentic flavors. Every bite was a trip back to home perfectly seasoned and made with love.
