Update: went back Aug 2023, and unfortunately I found the fries to be overcooked (extra crispy, as if it was refried). the burger bun was burned at the top a bit. The order took a long time to arrive and the food itself was underwhelming. The fries portion took 3/4 of my plate with the burger in a corner. The rice and jerk chicken were good though. No A/C inside, so we had to sit outside as it was very hot inside the restaurant. Never been here for dine-in as we usually get takeout, but the dine-in experience is a gamechanger! Why, you ask? The food tastes just as good and the staff is very friendly as well. Nothing beats eating hot food soon as it's served. The menu is extensive and has quite a lot of options to choose from. It's also nice to see that there is an option for chicken offered. The portions are also very generous and can easily be shared with one more person or more (depending on how much you eat). The cowboy sandwich (as recommended by our server) was very filling and delicious. I also enjoyed the k-pop fries a lot (the kimchi wasn't too spicy and worked so well). Lastly, the highlight had to be the smoked triple A beef back ribs. They were so well flavored, tasty and the meat was tender. It melts in your mouth and was so soft/easy to cut. The rice and sauce work so well together too and I loved this dish the most. Can't wait to come back for more.

I had to take the day to make up the this upsetting experience here. It was Eid day, and I brought my family here to celebrate after prayer. Not only did it take 45 for our food to come, I noticed from the receipt afterwards our order was never put in right away. We were barely acknowledged, as customers who came in after us were seated and served. Not only did we have to wait almost an hour for our food, but when it arrived it wasn’t even edible. My sisters burger came out solid. I even too a fork with me to show the staff how crispy is sounded, as I returned the meal. I asked for a replacement burger and ask for it to go as soon as much of our time was already wasted. The rest of us proceeded to finish our meals, which weren’t too bad, as he brought the replacement meal. He said he apologizes for everything and that we won’t be charged for the meal. 10 mins later as we ask for the bill, he brings me the receipt for 4 meals. I asked him why there are still 4 meals and he said I’m not charging you for the replacement but that I had to pay for the first meal which we returned. I didn’t even want to do any back and forth I was already so upset and didn’t want to spend another minute in that place. This was so saddening especially for it to be on Eid Day, a day filled food, love, and festivities. No offence, but I will never be back here again!

Phenomenal food! “The best brisket I’ve ever tasted”said several customers (including me) to the chef. This location of Chainsmoker has reopened under new ownership. The decor has a rustic yet cozy feel. 5 tables seat up to 24 people in the entire space. They have a wheelchair accessible washroom, complete with a bidet type hose. We ordered the AAA beef brisket ($24) but they were sold out by 7:30pm on the Saturday of a long weekend. We were able to score a taste of said brisket and I can totally see why it was sold out. It’s everything I look for in brisket- flavourful, smoky without being overpowering, and oh so juicy! Thankfully chef Mark was able to churn out another brisket, so we ordered that for takeout. We enjoyed the beef short rib ($22) with a side Caesar salad at the restaurant. You can tell that a lot of care and attention are placed in every detail of the meal, including the fresh pickled cucumbers and the coleslaw with fresh dill and herbs in it. The Caesar salad topped with fried wonton crisps and shaved Parmesan was the perfect lighter complement to the short rib. The short rib was generously portioned, tender and not too fatty and was served with a delicious smoky sweet barbecue sauce. Until February 28, 2022, they are offering 50% everything except the large platters. You need to eat here!!

This review is for Chain Smokers in Milton. We ordered the Beef Brisket on a Bun with fries. I placed the order 10 mins in advance and showed up to pick up my order. When asked I was told that it would another 10 mins.

The manager was standing at the counter chatting with employees. One employee was standing there staring into blank space when the manager pointed to the stacked steel trays of previous customers meals. Management should tell staff to keep busy and not stand there staring at nothing.

After 15 mins the food was ready and I grabbed it and left. Here's the interesting part:

5 mins into my drive home I realized that I hadn't paid so I turned about to go back and pay. The kid who was told to empty out the used tray area and change the garbage bags was still doing the same thing after 20 mins. He smiles and says to me "Oh forgot to pay? The customer is here". I said yes I did but none of you stopped me. I went up to the manager and he goes thanks for coming back. Not many people will come back to pay. In the end the food and the service doesn't add up to the total price paid.

Why doesn't management have better control over processes like having one bundle of receipts for instore orders placed which would already be paid before the food comes in. For online orders, keep one bundle for unpaid orders and one for paid orders so customers don't run away with your food. Simple steps to make sure you guys are organized and have butterfly chasing employees do something rather than stand around getting...
