I hope the owner or the marketing team understands this concern! I went to this location (adelaide st) between 9:30-9:45 pm which I understand is the closing time and really respect the staff serving us food.

However, while paying for my food, me and my friend were just arguing who pays the bill when this lady who was billing us smartly and cleverly presses the button from the other side of the counter and adds up the maximum tip on the pos machine by herself. The tip is something that the customer pays for the service he/she gets and a way of respect to the service provider. I would had tipped her anyway but its on me how much I would want to. Taking advantage of the situation was very rude from the staff!

My friend ordered two items on the list while i was busy on a call. Thanks to this same lady who also took our order and added another item to our bill which we did not even asked for. We realized this after leaving the restaurant when we saw an extra item in the bag!

We still had 10 minutes until the restaurant shuts, but we were told to leave the premises because they were closed!

I really liked the samosa poutine but the experience made everything taste so disappointing. No offense to the other staff members who are doing a great job serving the customers amazing food but this one lady ruined the entire experience for us. This was literally the first time we tried Chaska but would not recommend this particular...

Visited here when I arrived in Toronto a few days ago with a few friends. As a very seasoned indian food admirer, I was excited and hopeful to try some selections, however, half the items I asked for, they didn't have the tandoori sauce in stock for the majority of their dishes. There was 4 things I asked about before the cook suggested a dish I went for and was left rather disappointed as I had to settle for something entirely different than what I came for. The cooks were very nice though, so no complaints there, but in a city of Toronto, there's tourists there all the time looking for a meal. You need to be better prepared with your products and have them readily available.

My best friend also ordered a wrap that was sneakily made different when I think they then realized at that moment they didn't have the right sauce for it. So she too, got entirely different than what she even asked for.

Lovely people, but based on my experience, I would not recommend and would not visit here again when visiting town.

Overall, very...

I was really disappointed with my experience here. I ordered Pani Puri and received 12 puris (in one plate), but the amount of filling provided was extremely less, barely enough to fill even half of them properly. Pani Puri is supposed to be enjoyed with a generous amount of filling, but here it felt like they were cutting corners on the very basic part of the dish.

When I asked politely for a little extra filling so I could actually enjoy the remaining puris, they charged me $2 extra, which was quite unreasonable. For the price already being charged, I expected at least enough filling to match the number of puris served. Paying extra for something that should have been included in the first place left me feeling dissatisfied and taken advantage of.

The taste itself was okay, but the overall value for money was very poor. If you are someone who loves Pani Puri and expects a proper serving, this place may disappoint you. Definitely not worth it for me, and I wouldn’t recommend it unless they improve their portions and...

Again Subjective review from my point of view Food - Brilliant! Service - The service was excellent, we asked them to refill our personal water bottle and they did it with no push to buy retail water bottles. Loved this. Atmosphere - The over all vibe and setup was so "Desi" and "Streetish". As we say in Hindi "Swaad aur Maaza agaya!". We had the Butter Chicken dish and Glub jammun desserts! They were too good! Based on the recent food we have had on some of the Food stalls at couple of places, faith is again being restored, by places like these to "Spend" on food. Recommendation do visit the place. Couple of Cons if I can point them is 1) The place is too small 2) The nearby "Club" is not so "Sanskari". So going with family might shock your family. But the owners can't control their neighbours so I am not degrading the rating on these cons.

As someone who absolutely craves chaats and other forms of street food, I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The pav bhaji was exquisite (the bhaji was made exactly how it should be, spicy, tangy and well done), the samosa was good (they use little cut up potato pieces instead of mashed potato, but it was still well cooked so no complaints), and the chutney was great. We also ordered a plate called paneer naanza, which is like a pizza with naan bread as base. And it was actually quite good !! The sauce and herbs alongwith well roasted paneer with cheese on naan was a surprisingly good combo. All in all, great service, the people were very polite, good food, and great location. Worth a visit !
