I was walking on Roncy when I saw a crazy long line outside this place on a Saturday morning. I figured, if it’s raining and folks are waiting in the line it must be good. Hell yeah it’s good. Probably the best croissants I’ve tried in Toronto. The smoked cheddar and freshly baked butter croissants are out of this world. We wanted to try, ended up buying two bags of them. The americano is tasty and perfectly blended and pairs sublimely with the baked goodies. Keep bakin’ cherry bomb! [Update on February 2023] changing my 5 star to 3 star. Success has sadly changed the attitude of the staff and quality of the coffee. Plus now they’re out of croissants more often than not, I’ve visited them 3 more times and haven’t been able to find the cheddar croissants any more. Their brewed coffee this time was watery and when I brought this up to the staff they were indifferent, didn’t even offer to change it and only offered to top it up with… yes more watery coffee. Couldn’t drink it. The cherry on top was when my wife asked for the washroom to change our baby’s diaper and was refused. Unexpected indifference from the 4 women behind the counter. Won’t be coming back.

One of the best cafes in the city! Fantastic espresso and coffee. The staff make great beverages and all thoroughly understand the concept of great milk aeration = great lattes and flat whites. When you decide to make your first trip here try to arrive early as they have easily the best, if not top 5 pastries (croissants specifically for me) in the city! Every flavour I've tried from almond to chocolate to cinnamon all have the most beautifully textured blend of crunch, flake and chew that is straight pornography for any foodies. Lastly, they are our GO TO for freshly roasted coffee in the city! Even though our favorite dark roast flavour (Cuba) is flown in, it easily is our most enjoyed coffee blend for full body flavour and the best damn thing you'll ever smell after putting those beans through the grinder. Definitely come check these folks out, and be sure to bring a little extra CASH! The only downside is that they don't take debit or credit, and you WILL want to try more than just a coffee! :)

Worst customer service experience!!! Drove 3 times (I live 40 mins away) for a certain croissant only to be told they were sold out each time. We called this morning and asked them if the ones we wanted would be there and they said yes, "we will be making them all day". Then we got there and they were all gone. We asked several times if any more were being made as this is our third time coming out for these and we were willing to come back/wait. They said no. Then I spent $20 on other items. Then a few mins later the ones I wanted came out and they didn't even apologize! They just said sorry we're busy. So you lied because you're busy? They're always busy so that means they don't give good customer service? The guy making the coffee was also rude. I asked for an extra bag and gave me a little one. Then when I said it's for a few croissants he said oh you needed a big one in the most condescending way! I'm sure their over hype prevents them from caring about their customers but I will be sure to tell everyone about the awful experience. 2 stars because coffee was decent (not the best) and the croissants were good heated up. But I honestly felt like I was pariah there...

I have been patronizing the cherry bomb café since it opened and in all of those years, I have never had a bad cup of coffee. In fact, their espresso based drinks are unfailingly wonderful, although I find their insistence on takeout only cups to be very detrimental to the coffee enjoying experience.

I recently have acquired a Toronto coffee passport, which I have found to be a great vehicle for exploring new and beloved coffee shops. I showed my passport here and asked whether they were were giving discounts to people holding the coffee passport. The reception I received was not just indifferent, but blatantly rude.

My experience with the passport has varied with the cafes I have visited. I do not expect café owners to necessarily give discounts, but I certainly don't expect the level of distain and dismissiveness which I received at cherry bomb.

I do not find the Cherry bomb consistently friendly. In fact, I would say that this experience with indifferent and quite abrupt service is becoming more and more common at this coffee shop.

I will still go to Cherry bomb because the coffee is excellent but as a service experience, I would...
