First time going to this location. When I was telling the person behind the counter my order, I guess I didn't speak loud enough and all they heard was "chicken burrito", but when they reached for the wrap I said a bit louder and quickly "no, no I'd like a bowl. A bowl." They passive aggressively replied "all I heard was chicken burrito" I apologize and we continued with the order. When it was time to ask what kind of rice I'd like they called me "sir" Then corrected themselves and said "ma'am" afterwards. Normally, I don't take offense to these kinds of things because I understand mistakes happen when English isn't your first language.
However, after correcting themselves this person then thought it was a smart idea to SMIRK at me in a cheeky way. Letting me know that they had done it intentionally. Idk if they were offended by the fact that i repeated my order and I repeated it 2x or what but that is not good customer service. Passive aggression is not the best attitude to have when working in customer service.
I will not be returning and I will be letting my colleagues and friends know not to come to this particular location.
The person was from the sound of it from the Philippines, male presenting and wore glasses with black frames with a tattoo on the upper arm (not sure which one).
Luckily for them, I'm not a trans person otherwise this could've gone way differently.
I actually preferred the mucho burrito that was there before. Shame they had to shut...
Read moreMy first visit to this new Chipotle location on Laird was so disappointing! I thought I would try it because it's on my way home from work and it's difficult to park at the location near my home.
The experience was horrible. I get that the staff are probably new, but I ordered a vegetarian burrito and the portions of each element they put in the burrito were so skimpy that I ended up with folds and folds of tortilla and not much filling. I asked for white rice, black beans, pico de gallo, sour cream, cheese. I had to ask them to put more of some items in the burrito and still ended up with a pitifully small burrito. I asked them to give me the guac separately. The server tried to skimp on the guac in the little takeout cup. When I got to the cash register, the register guy tried to charge me extra for the guac, which is included in the vegetarian burrito price.
I don't know whether the workers are just new and cautious or whether the franchise owner is telling the staff to put the bare minimum of ingredients in each order, but as others have mentioned, it was very skimpy and unfullfilling.
I might give them one more try in a few months to see if they've learned from the bad google reviews, but they should know that there are many tasty fast casual options in that mall that do not skimp. For my money, I'll put up with the parking headache at the location near me and get a satisfying burrito.
The two stars I'm giving mean "two...
Read moreIm a long time chipotle customer and have visited over a dozen different locations. Never been disappointed in the past. I always get the chicken Salad and wherever i go (especially Shops at Don Mills location) portions are massive and always leaves me satisfied.
Decided to check this place out few weeks ago since its close to where i live. Was shocked with how incredibly small the portion was. I thought Maybe it was just a one time thing with a bad server. Gave them the benefit of the doubt.
Last week i had chipotle again at a different location - portion was great.
Today i went to this location for the second time. Gave them another shot. Once again Portion was incredibly small. Literally i was able to count 7 small pieces of chicken. I asked the server (different than the first time) if he can give a bit more chicken. He said he cannot and would be an extra $5 charge. Was very disappointed. Clearly this is a problem with specifically this location. Wont be going here again - worth it to drive 10 min further and give the business to the chipotle that...
