New bakery in Scarborough so I visited for the first time today. They have a good selection of breads and sweets. The price point is fair compared to other higher end bakeries. Quality costs money but it is worth it. Their sourdough is perfection. Toasted with some butter, or made into a grilled cheese 👍 The service was great, attentive and friendly. It's a small storefront with 1 shelf on either side of the main counter with a couple items on them. The rest of your order you have to ask the employee behind the counter and they will get it for you. One item I probably wouldn't buy again is the chocolate croissant. At $3.75 each I am expecting to be blown away and wasn't. It was ok, won't repeat. I will buy my bread here from now on and look forward to trying their cinamon rolls. They are open 7 days a week which is rare for some bakeries. Very convenient. They also have an app and you can collect points to redeem for $ off your order. Recommended. Update from second visit: I bought a sourdough loaf, still fresh and warm. I also tried the cinamon rolls...I didn't like them. Maybe my preference is different than others but I prefer breads and pastries to be fresh and not dry. In my opinion those items are too dry here. I will continue to buy the bread though. I will also try the butter tarts next week but my hopes are not very high. Third visit: So the butter tarts were ok, but I wouldn't buy again because they are expensive here. For that price I expect a higher quality. I tried the farmers loaf. Easily the best bread I have bought here. Really was top quality. Nice crusty outside, inside so fluffy and fresh. All you need is some butter on it. The loaf won't last a day at our house. Highly recommended. Their hot dog and hamburger buns are really good too. I buy these here now. I also tried the sunflower flaxseed sourdough. I liked it. The apricot raisin bread was good. I probably wouldn't purchase again only because to me the apricots gave a slightly bitter taste that I didn't like. Looking forward to trying out the other offerings. Feb 2022. I still come here every Saturday morning. The white buns are excellent for sandwiches and good, butcher hot dogs.

We purchased the cross bun and the sourdough and when got home we noticed it was stale inside and tasted bad. We called the store and they argued with us and hung up. Service like that in today’s day and age should have some consequence. It’s difficult to see in the images but you know when you see old stale bread and sorta of has this different shade, it’s a little bit whiter and dried out. That’s how it was. The bag had a sticker which was supposed to have a date on it but it wasn’t written on.

Visited this location Thursday to pick up some rolls and they were featuring pumpkin scones. Although the plain ones didn’t look very appetizing, I decided on the iced scones. Unfortunately these were so incredibly dry, even the icing couldn’t save them. Perhaps you may want to add some apple sauce to the batter. Also, the cashier decided to jam two scones into a box that was clearly too small? Honestly, outside of the apricot loaf, I haven’t tried anything that would give me reason to return.

I used to like this place till their employee ruined our Sunday brunch.

They put challah bread with sesame seeds on display with a label challah loaf. I order challah loaf and it comes without sesame seeds. I tell their employee I asked for challah loaf and point the bread on display. They show what they sliced and say this is challah bread. I say this doesnt have sesame seeds. They go you didnt say with sesame seeds. I go it doesnt say sesame seeds on the label either. They continue this is challah loaf the other one is challah loaf with sesame seeds. When I say ok, I want the one with sesame seeds after a long you didnt convo. Another person jumps in and says ok do you want us to slice you another one. I say yes please. But instead of slicing another one they continue arguing you didnt say it at first. I say how can I know all your options, i see what’s on display, i dont know if you have 3 different challah options. You didnt ask either. They respond we only have 2.

I left the store without buying anything because apparently I dont deserve anything since I didnt memorize the full SKU list and expected them to know what they...

I've visited this Cobbs bread location a couple of times and every time I walk in the door I'm always greeted with a "hello" and a smile or a "I'll be right with you." The staff is very knowledgeable about different types of bread, and items they have such as cinnamon buns, danishes, croissants, scones, tarts etc. Every item that I've tried has always been fresh and so delicious. Definitely worth going to grab a breakfast here instead of a fast food joint, the quality can't compare. This visit I was looking for danishes but I came right when they opened and they didn't have them ready yet as they make them fresh and it was right after Christmas day. I ended up trying some butter tarts, jalapeno and cheese knot bread and a chive and cheese knot bread. So delicious, this place will...
