It pains me to write this review as I have been a fairly frequent customer here over the past few years. Tonight I had a horrendous experience and as a result, I will not be returning and will be advocating for all my friends and family to avoid this location.
I placed an order through doordash for pickup using a 'Buy One Get One Large Chicken Shawarma Wrap'. Paid and all went well, waited for the notification saying my order is ready for pickup. Got the notification and went in only for the girl working to look at me like I was an idiot when I said I had a doordash order for pickup. She claimed there were no doordash orders, I show her my phone then she checks the screen and goes "Oh! I just got the order now I will make it please wait." Like lady, the coincidence of you just getting the order 25mins after I placed it and right after I showed you proof of it on my phone is unrealistic. Its whatever though, I don't mind waiting. It is what happens next that got on my nerves.
The girl makes a wrap then says my order is done. I wonder where the second one is so I ask. She says I only paid for one wrap. I show her my phone clearly showing that I went through with the BOGO deal, only for her to get argumentative. Saying her machine says it accepted the order for only 1 chicken shawarma doordash order. I said maybe it means 1 BOGO order, I'm not really sure because on my end it was clear as day that I used and paid for the BOGO deal which she saw. This is where her attitude kicks it up a notch.
She continues saying if I want another wrap it is simple, just buy another one. Like please miss, I didn't just pay over 20$ for a singular pickup wrap. All I wanted was my other wrap, I was hungry and didn't want a refund. Nope, she insisted that I made a mistake and I have to now deal with door dash. Either take the singular, to be honestly, poorly made wrap because she rushed it when she realized it should have already been made or I contact door dash for a refund. She was beyond rude, would not listen to my side (her English was awful so I doubt she understood what I was saying explaining her flawed logic), and very dismissive.
Okay whatever, I say I'll do the refund because I'm not walking out of this store down over 20 bones with this lousy wrap. I ask if she could just take the wrap out of the paper bag she put it in so I could snap a picture of it on the counter just in case doordash wanted proof I didn't take the order. She said she would have to call her manager to do that. Like please, why do you need to call your manager to take the food item you just placed in a paper bag out of the paper bag? So I say go for it and wait whilst she speaks to the manager. Sure enough takes it out so I can take my picture (this is the attached photo).
Long story short, what an awful experience. This worker was a headache to deal with and honestly it felt like she wanted me to feel stupid even though I was in the right. Like I have the receipts to show what I paid for? WHAT! The food here has never been amazing, mediocre at best. I just go here because it is close and they have deals sometimes.
Pita Land, please train your employees on how to show customer service. It would've been fine if I just had to refund my order but the fact this girl (worked Tuesday September 22nd, 2024) gave me attitude, left...
Read moreSome time ago I entered this Pita Land, as a regular customer with my elderly mom, we approached the front and started to place our order with a man, middle eastern, working there in his 30's. It was around 7pm and not busy. The man was very rude to us, the way he spoke to me (and my mom), after placing our order - I stopped him and asked why he was so rude! He went off on a rage and we argued. I cancelled the order and he started swearing at me in front of my senior mom! No respect! If my mom wasn't with me I would not have been so controlled. My mom and I were disgusted. I told the owner the following day and he could care less only commenting that his extra toppings are 50 cents each etc. After my business i had been giving them for a year, all he cared about was 50 cents! I didn't go back so I didn't see the rude jerk there. Their food is not that great either, it's not even fresh. They measure the chicken they put on a measuring spoon, for the money you pay, you get a little bit of crappy hard (kernels) of chicken. Both the owner and that employee and their stupid store suck. Read moreWish I could give 0 stars. I’ve been a regular customer here and always loved the falafel wraps in the past, but my last visit on Sunday evening was very disappointing. I ordered a small falafel wrap, and the girl making it (I think her name was Sidhiksha or Sudiksha) completely ruined it. The wrap was so poorly made that we had to throw away more than half of it. She even put my small wrap in a large pita, saying it wouldn’t roll otherwise — yet it still wasn’t rolled properly. The moment we opened it, everything fell apart. This has never happened to me here before. On top of that, when I asked for an empty paper bag for the fries, she handed me one with wet hands. Who gives a customer a wet paper bag?
