WOW, this place deserves its 4.9 with 1400+ reviews. Stopped in and immediately your greeted with very authentic staff from the servers to the cooks to the management, everyone is very Turkish so you know your in an authentic place. Ordered the Doner platter everything you see for $25. If youve had shawarma before you know that this shaved meat is often dry and tasteless. I was shocked by how juicy and flavourful this meat was, even the little shavings were tender and melty in your mouth with the beef chew, honestly I prefer this to a filet mignon. The rice under the meat was soft and gently seasoned. The veggies were super crisp and fresh, I mean straight out the ground fresh. The grilled pepper, I dont know what kind of pepper it is but its decieving. It breaks and smells like a green bell pepper, even the first bite is sweet like a bell pepper but then the heat hits you. Be careful!. This was by far the most enjoyable meal I've had from this area of scarborough. I also got a piece of baklava and tres leche cake but its in the fridge, I was thourally stuffed from that meal. The bread is also soft and perfect, too much though. Honestly this could feed 3 on a budget. Theres lots of meat, not so much rice but thats ok, perfect perfect perfect. I will be back and I encourage everyone to check this place out and support them. This review is not about the excellent food. It is specifically for Melisa or whatever her name was. This is the second time we came here and the second time Melisa was serving us. My husband took me here to cheer me up because of my dad's deteriorating health. So for this visit, the entire time for a second time, Melisa comepletely ignored my existence and took my orders through my husband which is just rude. She didn't say a word to me once both times. I didnt say anything the first time. I wanted to give her a chance. I took some things on the table she was collecting and slid them down so she can reach them and she still didn't acknowledge me at all with a thank you.

This time she repeated this behavior. I tried throughout the evening to just have a nice time with my husband talking about lighter things. Near the end of dinner, I was sharing a moment with my husband.  I'm trying to show him I am ok even with my dad dying. In the middle of our conversation, Melisa comes over, sees I'm saying something to him and doesn't wait for a moment for me to finish. She INTERRUPTS AND SPEAKS OVER me until we can't keep speaking anymore. My husband was trying to listen to me and was visibly uncomfortable. When he doesn't look at her right away she raises her voice again trying to act cute and asks for a review from him. It was just strange and inappropriate behavior.

The food is excellent and it's a shame. But this review is for Melisa only, the one she didn't ask...

One of the most delightful dining experiences I’ve ever had! From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was greeted with exceptional hospitality and warmth. But what truly made the evening unforgettable was the service provided by Buket. I haven't encountered this level of attentiveness and grace in a long time. Her warm smile, positive energy, and professional attitude genuinely brightened my day. She listened carefully to our requests, made great recommendations, and ensured everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish.

And the food… I still can’t get it out of my mind! Every dish, from the appetizers to the dessert, was a masterpiece. The presentation was elegant, the flavors were perfectly balanced, and the ingredients were incredibly fresh. My main course was cooked to absolute perfection—each bite was a testament to the chef’s skill. And the dessert? A grand finale that left me speechless.

Thanks to Buket and the entire kitchen team, I had an evening that satisfied both my palate and my soul. It’s rare to find a place that delivers such high quality in both food and service.
