This particular Cora has some issues when it comes to service. The food is excellent and has always been served to me hot and fresh, but this is where the service then ends. I have been to this location about 4 times in the past few months and not once have I been asked how the food was or if I wanted a refill on my glass of water (apparently they only seem to offer refills of coffee) and these are weekdays that I have been going and not weekends where generally there are not more than 10 tables in use with customers sitting at them. I have even had to ask for my bill every time I have gone and once they bring the credit card machine to me, the servers run away and expect you to complete your own credit card transaction and swipe your loyalty card. Also, beware that if you don't swipe your loyalty card when the machine prompts you, you will not get a chance to collect those points even though Cora's website and a phone conversation with head office said that points can be added to your account within 30 days of your visit, this location doesn't seem to know how to retroactively add the points back.
When I visited today, my food was served to me hot and fresh as usual and I was asked if I wanted anything else and I had asked for a refill on my water but as usual that was forgotten about and also as usual I had to chase someone down to get my server to bring my bill and the credit card machine for me to check myself out. Excellent food but horrible service, this location seems to want to run with as few servers as possible which is the complete opposite experience I have had another Cora's I visited in another city (outside...

Read moreThe food was decent, kind of. But overall I understand why this Cora’s restaurant has under a 4 star rating. For the most part, the food was alright. I ordered the 10 Star Skillet with an extra egg(pictured). Most of it was actually very very good. My only complaint with this dish this was the potato’s were not crispy enough. Breakfast potatoes are generally some form of crispy, even if they aren’t fried. The potato’s in my skillet were cooked just to the point where they weren’t raw. But they were still pale and white. Very little browning and next to no crispy. The rest of my skillet was truly enjoyable. My friend got the Louis the Undecided. Unfortunately it didn’t look nearly as appetizing as the photo in the menu. The crepe again was cooked but just to the point where it wasn’t raw. Not slightly golden like in the photo. Potatoes on her dish were similar to mine. Not good enough and no crisp. Toast was also flimsy and barely toasted. Service wasn’t amazing. It was busy, but this is to be expected at a breakfast restaurant at 10am and servers should adjust. It took quite some time to get our orders taken. The server took a long time to bring an extra side plate and we had to ask for refills of our water on more than one occasion. Atmosphere was a standard Cora’s breakfast spot during Saturday breakfast. Busy, but welcoming and lively. I’m glad I tried this place but I’m not sure if I’d return. I think I’d prefer to try out other...
