Crumbs Patties is a short walk from China Town in Kensington Market . Crumbs Patties is not a traditional store and more of a stand. There is two chairs at the front of the stand for seating. When you are ready to order you can ask the person at the front of the stand and they will take your order. I went to Crumbs Patties on a Sunday around 1:00 PM. There was about 3 other people there waiting for patties as well so it wasn't too busy. Ordering: There is a menu on top of the stand you can look at. There is also a menu online you can look at. Essentially they have single patties, patty with coco-bread, patty with cheese + coco-bread and hot sauce, dressed patty with cheese coco-bread and hot sauce. Cost: I paid around $8.32 including tax for one chicken patty with cheese and coco-bread. Overall pretty expensive for the average patty place. Wait Time: There is one person working the register and making the food so it can take a little while to get your food. There was about 3 people ahead of me so it took like 20ish minutes to get my patty with coco-bread. The Food: One chicken patty with cheese and coco-bread. I also got scotch bonnet sauce on it. The chicken patty itself was not too tasty. There was a little bit of meat filling and the patty at the top looked burnt. The cheese did help a bit with the scotch bonnet sauce but overall I was not impressed with the patty itself. The coco-bread was really good, it was warm, almost buttery and was just really tasty. But it really didn't complement the patty Overall: The atmosphere of the stand is alright, its in Kensington market where there are lots of food places, so it doesn't really matter if there's limited seating at the stand. The server was extremely nice and attentive. The food was okay but the price is not justified given that there is another patty place nearby selling for way less (and Chinatown is right there plenty of ways to spend less money).

We finally made it to Crumbs after hearing so many rave reviews, and wow… it absolutely lived up to the hype. They were sold out of their other flavours (a sign of how popular they are!), so we went for the regular beef patty — and it was phenomenal. The filling is rich and deeply flavourful, perfectly seasoned to let the beef shine. The crust? Golden, flaky perfection — made with beef tallow, which gives it an incredible depth of flavour and texture. We even had the chance to meet the owner Pierre, who kindly shared a bit about how the pastry shell is made. You can taste the craftsmanship in every bite — truly a labour of love. This has quickly become our go-to spot for patties, and we’re already planning a return trip to try their other specialties. Crumbs is an absolute must-try. Pierre - if you’re reading this 🐄 are vegans too! 🙃

Heard and saw this place on a few videos from people visitng and I love me a good patty, so made sure to stop by when we were visiting Kensington Market. I went simple since it was my first time here and got one Standard Patty and an Upgraded Standard Patty (both beef). The difference is the upgraded one comes with coco bread. I'm not generally a coco bread person because it can feel like a lot of bread/dough for me, but felt I had to do it to give a proper review. And honestly, I enjoyed the one with the coco bread as much as the one without it - it was nice and warm and didn't feel as doughy/like it was too much dough like I usually feel. The guy at the shop was cool - real personable, made us laugh few times and friendly. Whenever I make my way back to Toronto, would come back to try some of their remixed patties.

Crumbs Patty in Kensington Market offers a satisfying culinary experience that falls just shy of greatness. While the eatery serves up good-quality patties, there's a certain element that prevents them from reaching the pinnacle of excellence, leaving patrons with a feeling of overall enjoyment but a hint of missed potential.

The highlight of Crumbs Patty undoubtedly lies in its commitment to delivering good patties. The menu showcases an array of flavorful options, from classic to creative, allowing patrons to explore a variety of tastes. The patties themselves are generally well-prepared, with fillings that offer a satisfying blend of flavors and textures. The attention to ingredient quality and the dedication to crafting a decent patty experience is evident and appreciated.

However, where Crumbs Patty falls short of greatness is in the execution and consistency. While some patties may hit the mark perfectly, others might leave a bit to be desired in terms of seasoning, balance, or overall mouthfeel. This inconsistency prevents the experience from reaching the level of exceptional that would truly set Crumbs Patty apart from its competitors.

The ambiance and atmosphere at Crumbs Patty contribute to the overall sense of satisfaction without quite reaching the realm of greatness. The cozy and inviting setting is conducive to a pleasant meal, creating an environment where patrons can enjoy their patties and engage in the lively spirit of Kensington Market.

In conclusion, Crumbs Patty in Kensington Market offers a good patty experience that falls slightly short of greatness. While the commitment to delivering flavorful and satisfying patties is commendable, the inconsistencies in execution and overall experience prevent it from achieving a status of culinary excellence. For those seeking a decent patty fix in a vibrant and eclectic setting, Crumbs Patty provides an...
