If you’re an Indian living away from home or simply someone who craves the rich, soulful taste of authentic Indian street food, then Dil Se Dil Tak is the place to be. I recently had the pleasure of dining here, and I can confidently say this restaurant lives up to its name in every possible way—it truly serves food that connects heart to heart.
From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with a warm welcome and exceptional customer service. The staff was incredibly courteous, attentive, and eager to ensure our dining experience was nothing short of perfect. It’s rare to find a place where you’re treated like family, but Dil Se Dil Tak genuinely made us feel at home.
We started our meal with the Manchurian Golgappe, a creative and flavorful twist on a classic Indian snack. The fusion of tangy, spicy, and crunchy elements was nothing less than a burst of magic in the mouth—absolutely unforgettable. Then came the Paneer Chilli Dry, which was perfectly crisp, spicy, and packed with flavor. The paneer was soft on the inside, crispy on the outside, and tossed beautifully in a rich, savory sauce that made every bite addictive.
But the highlight of the evening was the Delhi 6 ke Tikki Chole—a dish so authentic and mouth-watering that it instantly transported us to the streets of Chandni Chowk. The tikki was crisp and golden, paired with hearty and flavorful chole, garnished with chutneys and spices that brought out the perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and tangy flavors. Every spoonful reminded me of home.
To end this unforgettable meal, we ordered Gulab Jamun, and it was the perfect conclusion to a heartwarming feast. Soft, warm, and soaked in just the right amount of syrup—this dessert was heavenly.
What truly sets Dil Se Dil Tak apart, beyond its delicious menu, is the love and passion they pour into every dish and every interaction. The ambiance is cozy, the staff is kind, and the food is nothing less than a celebration of Indian flavors.
If you’re missing India, or just want to indulge in nostalgic, flavorful Indian cuisine, I highly recommend visiting this gem of a restaurant. It’s not just a meal—it’s an experience that touches your soul.
Thank you, Dil Se Dil Tak, for reminding us what real Indian food tastes like. I just love it! Will definitely be back...
Read moreTo sum it up in one word, it was incredibly. We came over the place while checking out Indian restaurants in the area. Never knew this place existed
The attention to details, customer service, staff presence, and the food, everything was above par. We had reserved a table for 4 but were 5-7 minutes late. The staff was friendly and directed us to our table right away. Staff was quick to get us our menus. For the appetizers, we had Paneer Pakoda and Garvy Manchurian. The staff who took our order suggested we go with semi-gravy, which we did.
For the main course, we ordered Panner Lababdar and Kadhai Soya Chaap along with tandoori roti and garlic naan.
When we were in the middle of our appetizers, a staff member who was serving us approached and asked for feedback. The Panner Pakodas were good, but we thought they could have been better. The staff immediately apologized and said they would get this feedback to the chef and get us a new plate. The manchurian was amazing. The flavors reminded me of the dishes I had back home. Keeping up with their word, they served us a fresh batch of Paneer Pakodas and boy where they tasty! The green chutney, along with the soft, fresh paneer, was immaculate. It was hard to choose a winner from these two appetizers.
Now, coming to the main course, both the dishes were fabulous and right on the spot. I would recommend going with spicy options. We asked for medium spicy and were not disappointed but could have handled spicy as well, in hindsight.
Given the current economy and prices elsewhere, Dil Se is absolutely pocket-friendly and a must-visit.
On our way out, the manager was kind enough to introduce us to the chef. Feom the little talk we had, I got a feeling the chef takes much pride and always looking to improve.
All in all, I can definitely say this was the best restaurant experience I have had in Toronto. Not just for an Indian restaurant but any. Would definitely visit again soon and thank the staff at Dil se for such a great...

From the moment we walked in we were greeted with very friendly staff and were seated promptly. The dining area had a classic vibe and menu was simple and elegant which was a plus imo.
Our waiter, Joshi, was extremely helpful in his recommendations that I wondered if he was a wizard. 😂We loved every. single. dish. he recommended that we ordered. So much that by the third dish we had confidence to try dishes we've never even heard before. The other servers were also very friendly and helpful.
We ended up ordering these:
Pani puri - Joshi recommended we try this and even showed us how to eat it when it arrived. I could have eaten it so very wrong and the flavors make such a huge difference! I accidentally forgot to add one of the sauces on one of them and it was not the same... This appetizer did what an appetizer should and made us want more ❤️
Paneer chili dry - this one dish in particular we saw the table next to us order. It looked so good we asked them what it was and ordered the same. Holy moly was this delicious!
Chicken lababdar with Naan- Joshi recommended this and to try it with garlic naan first, that if we needed more naan and were curious to try another THEN maybe we order the special Naan. So we did. Lol
Mango Lassi x2 - all my hub's order. Yes, it was that good Badam Milkshake -i ordered this one and it was delicious ❤️
Rasmalai - WHY HAVE I NEVER HEARD OF THIS IN CALIFORNIA?!?! ✨️ Joshi described this as the cold version of gulab jamun.
No, we did not plan to order this much... lol But there were so many other dishes I'm looking forward to trying... maybe if I get another chance to come visit this city again in the future.
P.S. The 🚻 entrance is across the bar, down the stairs, turn left,...
