Fancy Franks Burgers & Hotdogs — Restaurant in Toronto

Hi there, I would like to say I really like this really nice restaurant and now I just wanted to say that I know why it’s called called that way because it is a very nice restaurant and I really like the welcoming atmosphere the vibe that I was getting and everything was so balanced down like very easy to order and understand the menu and make your way through what you want and I like them. They had a very accessible and extended menu and I got the hotdog and the corn dog, which was really amazing. I don’t remember what the exactly I want and I forgot to write a review But the service there was great I like how the guy really took care of my order and he really was very patient and he seems like he cares about the customers because he put in a bunch of extra Sauces and the sauces were great because they gave a nice balance to the hotdog and yeah, I got a hotdog dog and a corn dog. I thought I was gonna get like two corn dogs But maybe my mom must’ve ordered a corn dog but anyway the hotdog and the corn dog was so good. I don’t regret getting it and it was surprising that the hotdog was gonna be good because I had my doubts, but the hotdogs didn’t disappoint. I mean, I’m not usually picky when it comes to hot dogs, but I thought the hotdog was really good so yeah the guy I asked him multiple times. What sauces can I get and he said you can get any of them so I thought to myself that shocking because I thought I was only allowed to get one Two but I ordered all of the sauces because they were really good and that’s what made the hotdog have very much of a flavour and I did like the sausage and sausage was really good overall, my...

bruh. this place was garbaj (that's fancy garbage, bc fancy area). i'd been to an ff's once prior, gotta' be like a decade ago and somewhere closer to dt i wanna' say? was craving a dog something fierce the other day and decided to give it a whirl again- needless to say, quickly reminded why i hard passed on this joint after that experience all those years ago. this spot is, simply put, trash. firstly, my order of a dog + chilli cheese fries took unbelievably long- about 20-25 min-, but beyond the absurd wait, what i was rewarded with was just a gross, overly-processed (not in a good way), and really just awfully-flavoured mess of food i imagine is inferior even to what they service in prison. the chilli cheese fries... man, those are a crime against humanity... you guys need to seriously reevaluate your chilli recipe, as it features some serious wonky/vile notes which have no damn place in a chilli... also, it was totally watery, what's up with that? piled onto your gross agent orange cheese (which has way less flavour than its synthetic look implies), and atop those sadly-seasoned frites, the dish comes together to form a perfect pile of slobber. thanks to that gross wet chilli, it is instantly transforms the dish into one soggy gross wet mess. YUCK. and the dog... how are you guys even in business? a damn costco dog runs laps and laps and laps around you- spare me all the novelty toppings, i'd rather a plain costco dog over your most deluxe offering any day of the week, twice on the lords day....

Fancy Franks ,is it so Fancy? I just discovered that they had opened a shop at Lawrence & Avenue road so I decided to stop in. I went pretty simple on this by ordering the Just Frank combo, as I was waiting for my order I noticed a board above the door on the wall that they have daily $5 special wish I had seen this before placing my order. My order came to $15 which I found a tad pricey since my dog wasn't really very gourmet, any way the order came up and you only get a choice of 4 topping, onions, sauerkraut, banana peppers and one other that I cant recall, not great to limit your customers like that since what I really wanted was some fresh toppings like lettuce, tomato and few other things( which they had in a display case, but probably reserved for burgers) so bottom line I couldn't customize my plain dog to be a bit more "fancy".

Anyway I took the banana peppers and some sauces, the hotdog it self tasted good, the casing had that snap that you want in a hot dog and the bun nice and soft but beware if you go crazy on saucing up your dog the bun...
