Pizzaiolo — Restaurant in Toronto

Had a friend pick up a pizza for me and when I opened it, it was completely wrecked. Cheese was scattered into clumps around the pizza, no sauce, just all bread. I went back to talk to them about it with the employee and she was saying that it was not possible that this was how it looked like at the beginning and she could not do anything about it despite my persistence. She called her manager and he was being even more uncooperative stating that it was my fault because one side of the box was "dented" meaning it had been tipped or dropped because more weight was being put there which led to everything falling off the pizza and a oil stain and cheese on the side of the box lid. I had said that that was not the case and my friend kept the pizza flat with two hands as she brought it to me.

The cheese clearly had touched the box lid when it was closed and the manager kept telling me it was "impossible" for the pizza to look that messed up because everyday they sell so many pizzas and not one looks like the way mine did. He said of course everything would fall off the pizza because it was hot. I said if that was the case and it was truly my fault, even if the pizza did tip, there is no way all of the cheese and toppings would fall off to the point where it was only the bread left. I've never had this experience with other pizza shops similar to Pizzaiolo and I said to the manager that this was an issue with the quality of their pizza. At this point, I was furious and the manager told me "not to get too excited".

He said I could not question the quality of their pizzas when their daily pizzas on display don't look like mine. I had nothing else to say as I've already stated all the facts and the manager even laughed at me when I was speechless. I had accepted the fact that I would walk away with the old pizza and that was when he finally told me that they were making a new one for me (so at this point, why was he still arguing with me for almost 10 minutes). He brought out the new pizza for me and he pointed at it saying that this is what their pizzas always look like and brought back the old one just to compare it to my face.

He was then giving me an annoyed attitude while cutting my pizza. The manager also threatened me with security footage and as a student, I felt extremely targeted being mocked by both the employee and manager who were both adults. Terrible service at this location, will not be...

Our neighbours ordered several pizzas for delivery yesterday (Halloween) at 4:30. After the pizza didn't arrive, they kept calling every 20 minutes to be told "yes, it has left, it will be there any minute". We waited....and waited....and waited....with 10 very hungry children who hadn't had dinner and were anxious to trick or treat. Because we were continuously told that it would arrive any second, we continued to wait. Eventually, at 6:30, 2 hours after the scheduled delivery time, we couldn't wait any longer and had to go out trick or treating with a large group of very hungry kids/adults. However, the WORST part is that - after calling to cancel the order and request a refund, the location REFUSED! Several phone calls throughout the evening and even this morning and the location is still refusing! I get it, mistakes happen, especially on busy nights, but to refuse a refund under these circumstances? Unacceptable. There are MANY other options for fantastic pizza on Avenue Road and we will not be giving this location our business again. (PS - the pizza never...

This is my go to pizza place but perhaps the last time tonight. Terrible experience tonight. It seems like there may be new management. I called in a take out order. I was told 15-20 mins. I get there in 25 mins and walk in and am told my pizzas are going to take 10-15 mins more......because they didn't start making it yet.

Instead of apologizing, I was given an excuse that it was busy. I don't buy it. If it was busy, don't tell me it'd be ready in 15-20mins.

Anyway, I proceed to wait; meanwhile, another customer comes in - SAME PROBLEM FOR HIM!!!!

Just to be safe, I ask another person (presumably the owner) if he could please check to make sure my pizzas were being made. He asked for my name and some shuffling later, he found my 3 pizzas INSIDE another oven being kept warm! Well guess what? I didn't think anything of it but when I got home, to my disappointment the pizza was all dried out. Of course, it was cooking inside an oven while I unknowingly sat there waiting.
