Unfortunately I regret coming to this shop, especially my interaction with the store manager, MD Wali Ullah, certainly wasn't a pleasant one. His poor professionalism on customer service, behaviour and attitude towards the customer, was very disappointing.

I ordered Macchiato, which I expected to be something similar to the one from Starbucks which comes in a regular sized cup. It came in a tiny cup and I asked him whether this was the correct one. He kept repeating himself that this is the correct one and what I know is wrong in such a condescending and arrogant way. Two other girl friends I was with and the woman behind me all thought what we know as Macchiato from Starbucks. (Maybe they should consider putting a short description on the menu when the majority of the customers are accustomed to franchise coffee shop style.)

Unfortunately, the coffee itself wasn't even tasteful. Myself and the other girl who ordered a coffee, didn't finish. Also my other girlfriend who ordered the London fog didn't enjoy hers either as they took out the tea bag too quickly and tasted like watered down tea.

This was my first time at this coffee shop and certainly will be the last one as well. MD Wali Ullah's behaviour and attitude made me feel embarrassed and uncomfortable. In fact, I was surprised that the store manager acted in such a way like this where there was no empathy towards the customer and showed poor...

This cafe cultivates a distinctly quiet vibe, making it an appealing spot for those looking to focus, read, or have an intimate conversation. The low volume is maintained with music playing quietly in the background. However, the seating arrangement strongly dictates its use: with only about ten tables, each strictly limited to two seats, it is decidedly not suitable for large groups and is clearly oriented toward individuals or pairs.

A practical note on noise is that the overall quiet atmosphere is broken up near the service counter. Guests are advised not to sit next to the cashier as the constant operation of the coffee machines is loud in that specific area.

In terms of comfort, a significant drawback was the interior temperature. The reviewer noted that the inside of the cafe was too hot, to the point of causing them to sweat, suggesting a ventilation or air conditioning issue that detracts from the experience.

Service is friendly, as the cashier was noted to be pleasant. However, it is a minimal-service establishment; they do not bring orders out to the tables, requiring customers to pick up their food and drinks at the counter. The offerings are limited, with a small selection of baked goods available to try. Finally, the coffee itself was described as tasting "ok," but "not extraordinary," indicating it is perfectly functional but not a standout feature or specialty draw for true coffee...

I have been coming here for almost 9 months now. Every time we have ever come, we get 2oz of milk for our 2 year old baby girl which they never charge. Today they randomly said we need to charge and I questioned that it is such a small amount and this was never the case before. The gentleman A.K mentioned that it’s their policy always - which makes no sense as he agreed that I’m a regular customer and he knows me yet he is “unsure” how our daughter gets milk complimentary. I go on to say okay, how much? And he says $3.96.

I was extremely appalled by the amount- for 2 oz and he said unfortunately he cannot do anything. He goes on to say that if he gives me such milk complimentary- it will affect their inventory. I’m sure you can imagine how crazy this is.

Then his colleague Flora interrupts and says why are you complaining to us, we only get paid minimum wage which till now I’m not sure why that would be of concern? How am I supposed to help her with her unhappiness of not being paid enough?

Clearly the employees here do not like their job or want to keep their customers. For someone that comes at least twice a week, they clearly have lost a loyal customer. And for what? 2oz is of milk for a two year old? Arguably they waste way more milk that “affects” their inventory every single day.

I’ll let you be the judge of how poorly run...

This was my second time here. So grateful they have a vegan goodie - a delicious banana muffin! Wish they had options too. The baristas are friendly and always have a smile on their face. Perhaps a main reason it’s refreshing to visit a coffee shop that isn’t a regular chain. It’s in a perfect location. They also have outdoor seating I guess. Like for 2 people? But although it’s a great location, the coffee shop is kinda underground. So if you want to have conversations, read a book or just sip your beverage in peace, you should dine in, else just do a take away and explore the yorkville village. It’s usually crowded so not easy to get a seat but it’s a good sign that they have great coffee. Loved the hazelnut oat milk latte I had last time! This time I tried matcha latte and it was ok. Guess I might not be a fan of matcha yet. It would be nice if tables were cleaned as and when people left for the next folks. They just have two baristas so perhaps understaffed for that? They had lots of baked items too but I didn’t pay attention as none of those were vegan except that one muffin. The atmosphere is pretty congested. You can call it cozy too. Your mood/perception on that day will decide it. lol. I would absolutely go again! And again and again! And try all their coffees!
