I recently planned a special birthday night for my partner at The Hazelton Hotel, and I can say without hesitation: it was beyond exceptional.
The hotel itself is stunning—elegant, intimate, and impeccably designed. The rooms are beautiful and luxurious, but what truly sets The Hazelton apart is its people.
The concierge team — Maira, Ronaldo, Toni, and Pauline — deserve the highest praise. I came in with very specific (and admittedly demanding) requests, but they handled every single detail with precision, patience, and incredible finesse. From coordinating small personal touches to pulling off a brunch reservation at the fully booked Four Seasons, they went above and beyond in every possible way.
Every single staff member we encountered was gracious, thoughtful, and genuinely kind. The doormen alone could teach a masterclass in hospitality — they are world-class. Everyone we met seemed to take pride in making our stay feel seamless and special. Even though it was just a one-night stay, I was treated like royalty.
I’ve stayed at several Fairmonts and Four Seasons, and even enjoyed a staycation at Bisha. But nothing compares to the level of care, professionalism, and warmth we received at The Hazelton. It was, without a doubt, one of the most memorable hotel experiences I’ve ever had.
UPDATE:
We celebrated my boyfriend’s birthday at The Hazelton Hotel in May and had such a fabulous experience that he surprised me by booking it again for my birthday in September. From the moment we arrived, the staff made an effort to show that they remembered us. They went above and beyond — we were upgraded to a beautiful room and greeted with cake and wine, which made me feel so special.
Every interaction at The Hazelton is outstanding. The Concierge are just fantastic - they are always spot on, they completely deliver. The level of service throughout the hotel is consistently warm, polished, and professional.
I spent the day at The Spa at Hazelton, and it was absolute bliss — tranquil, spotless, and luxurious. The staff knew it was my birthday and treated me with such kindness and care. My full body scrub, massage, and facial were incredible — genuinely some of the best treatments I’ve ever had. I’m already planning to budget for this once a month because it was that good!
The Hazelton has truly thought of every fine detail — they check every box to make the entire experience perfect and seamless. It’s so rare to find a hotel that puts in the effort to make ordinary people feel extraordinary. The Hazelton doesn’t just meet expectations — it exceeds them in every way. Thank you for taking genuine pride in...
Read moreAnother wonderful stay at The Hazelton ended today! ||One of our very favourite hotels that we’ve had the pleasure of staying at, and it was wonderful to see some familiar faces and some ‘new to us’ faces too. ||The Hazelton team is exceptional - always friendly, thoughtful, polite, kind and aim to make you feel at home and comfortable. I don’t like to name names because literally every single team member we encountered was excellent and we didn’t get everyone’s name. That said, we did, perhaps, have more interactions with Kateryna, Robert and the sweetest Tugee ! - truly, though, all staff we encountered are thoughtful, considerate and exceptional. From the moment you pull up, as the valet / bellhop / reception service teams all welcome and help get you settled … to the operator, hospitality and room services teams. It is the same consistent experience throughout your stay right to the moment you depart. ||We loved our stay - and our room - which was perfect and comfortable. We very much appreciated the care and attention to detail on our room preferences (also includes health related requests and dietary restrictions). I dread travelling as it has become extra complicated by such factors, but the Hazelton team makes it all feel more manageable. Also, not sure if I missed it last time, but it was nice / appreciated to see the addition of a chia breakfast parfait on the menu! ||My husband always enjoys the well-kept pool / steam room area! The only thing that might improve it - is if the hours were longer / later. If we get in past 11:30 some evenings, he would love to avail of it later. ||I love that you don’t use the giant shampoo / conditioner bottles. I find those to be unsanitary and appreciate the personal ones - it’s one less thing I have to pack. It’s the little touches that make a big difference.||Constructively, I think the bath tissue rolls and kleenex could stand to be upgraded for this class of hotel. Also, while I appreciate the hotel brand scent…other hotels, like FS, have it scenting the spa area etc but I don’t notice it on the floors. It is a lovely scent for most, I’m sure, but not great for allergy sufferers. Myself, I have to stay far away and make a mad dash for the elevator. :) ||We love this hotel for its service team, care and consideration of needs and preferences, hotel and suite cleanliness, respect for privacy, and it is located in a nice area. ||The Hazelton knows how to balance making guests feel warm and welcomed while respecting guest privacy and preferences during their stay. We look forward to returning!||Thank you...
Read moreWe had the pleasure of staying at The Hazelton when I booked it as a surprise for my wife’s 40th birthday celebration in June. From the moment I’d made the booking I knew I’d made the right choice, as within a few hours of making it a member of the hotel concierge staff (Dean Voon) reached out to enquire about any special arrangements required in the room. I advised a cake would be nice and most good hotels would simply stop there.
Not the Hazelton – they asked me to provide three digital photographs that meant something to my wife and they would have them printed, framed and placed in the room…all complimentary and part of the service they provide. It’s touches like this which truly separate a great hotel from an exceptional hotel.
As soon as we arrived, and just like other reviewers have mentioned, the valet and front desk staff all knew our name and wished my wife a very Happy 40th Birthday. You truly felt like you were the most important visitor in the world and the service was truly outstanding…there really is a reason why this hotel rates more highly than similar properties in the area such as the Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons…it is truly exceptional.
Room service in the room was amazing and we enjoyed dinner one of the evenings in One Restaurant where the food was great but service wasn’t quite up to the standard experienced in other parts of the hotel (they had set the bar exceptionally high, it has to be said). Unfortunately my wife and daughter had to return to the room prior to ordering desserts and I had something special planned…I went and spoke to the concierge and advised that we’d be ordering dessert to our rooms so anything they could do would be appreciated.
We call for room service and in addition to what we had ordered were some of the hotels famous Boston Cream Doughnuts with a personalized birthday message and candle which the gentleman who brought it to our room, promptly lit upon arrival.
Without fail, every single person we encountered was exceptional in the service they provided and would remember our names and say hello. From Dean in the Concierge area, to Sarah and Rishi at the front desk – my family would like to thank you and the entire Hazelton team for our truly memorable stay. It was that good that if we’re ever in Canada for my wife and daughters birthdays again (we would usually go away) we will be making a birthday stay at the Hazelton our annual tradition!
To anyone reading all the amazing reviews and being somewhat skeptical before they book…I simply have three words for you…Believe. The. Hype…this place is...
