Read moreI was a regular patron of this restaurant for years. Their food is good, but recently i visited their restaurant for dine in and their service and charges surprised me. We were two guests and ordered food. The restaurant was 30% full of their capacity and i was waiting for the food i ordered. Half of the order arrived and we were waiting for the rest. We were surprised to see that we were waiting more than half an hour and no sign of food. We saw other tables were been served and we were waiting for our noodles!! At some point I asked the server where is my food and from my understanding they didn't start making it yet ! I don't know how this can be happen when a restaurant is busy with 30% of their capacity. As a Consumer, I was not happy with their service and wanted to tipping minimum. I asked for the bill and to my surprise I saw that there is a 15% graduity added automatically to my bill. I didn't get the point that how auto gratuity been added when we are only two guests, not even a large group. I asked the server that i want to talk to the manager, she went to him and I saw he refused to come. I went to the front desk where he was and asked that why there is a gratuity added for two guests, his reply was that in their new menu they added this in fine print, so he can add it with bill without informing me. I was surprised that when a regular restaurant added gratuity to their bill and the service is bad. it is not a fine dine restaurant. I asked him about the service i received and why i will pay gratuity when i didn't get good service. He said "you ordered-you got your food. that is the service." !!! I didn't want to go farther as there is no point of arguing here. When he handed me the POS machine for payment, it was again asked for tips. I'm pretty sure a lot of people pay twice for tips/gratuity if they don't look at the bill carefully.
Thank you Hakka Legend for...
Read moreIs there Negative 5 stars on Google? We visited this restaurant that is located @ 789 Warden Ave on 29th June 2019@ around 9:30 pm.and had the worst experience ever & including worst treatment from manager Dominic Chu. We ordered veg. Manchow Soup and reiterated to the server about we being Vegetarians and our food should not have any eggs, meat or fish. The server said they use vegetable broth for veg.Soup and its vegetarian. So we ordered. but half way through the soup we found CHICKEN WONTON- we were furious - we called the Manager Dominic who did not seem to be empathetic nor did he claim responsibility. He put blame on the kitchen staff and washed his hands off the issue. We said we don't feel like ordering any food there now considering they added chicken in a vegetarian Soup... Guess what he said. Ok! you can go. CAN You Guys imagine... What attitude this person had... I wonder if Canada's food safety authority is reading this-.. ... I requested the number of the owner which was apparently declined to be provided. His name is Edwin Chang. I expect restaurants serving vegetarian options to respect sentiments of their patrons & not just take it for granted. This Dominic Chu seemed to be the worst manager I've come across. I expect Edwin Chang to contact me immediately. I'll be complaining to the authorities to inspect the Processes of the restaurant and adhere to Safe food handling procedures. I am NOT going to go to this restaurant all chains ever again and warn others to avoid as well. What a NIGHTMARE to get in touch with Edwin Chang. He doesn't respond to customer complaints nor does any if his 5 restaurants are helpful esp te Warden st. location. I've been calling for over 1 week regularly, but I am being told he's too big to talk to customers for complaints....Very interesting that the owner of a restaurant thinks his customer's problems are...
