I ordered a pork banh mi. On a Saturday and I was super disappointed! I asked the gentleman how long it would take and he said about 5 minutes. I came back a little before only to see him prepare the sandwich. First off he used an air fryer to heat up the sandwich and he put in 1 glove. He then spreaded the mayo with a spatula with the one hand without the glove which was fine, then goes on picking up the rest of the ingredients with the ungloved hand into the sandwich! My girlfriend walked away and said “I’m not eating that!”. I didn’t feel like saying anything which is really uncharacteristic of me and I politely just took it. I took a bite of it later and just threw it in the garbage as I was disgusted with the whole...

I didn’t like banh mi until I had Hanoi Bites.

I had the pork banh mi with iced coffee. It’s the type of good where you close your eyes and chew in silence at your first bite.

The iced coffee is unlike any other viet coffee I’ve had. It’s rich and nutty with chocolate tones but not overly sweet nor overpowering. It’s almost like a clean affogato.

I had the pleasure of chatting with the owner. You can tell he knows his stuff, loves the food, and loves serving memorable food experiences.

The wildest part? It’s only going to get better. He’s continually thinking on how to improve. Even the coffee side.

A must try and...

If you haven't had Vietnamese coffee then you really and truly have not LIVED!

Why deny your taste buds the magical aroma of real quality coffee.

Hanoi Bites nestled in the ultra cool once factory converted into the very trendy Waterworks Food Hall in historical Brant Street.

Whether you enjoy this magical art of coffee inside or outside in the very lovely St. Andrew's Market and Playground, you're being will be one with the universe after one sip of authentic Vietnamese Coffee.

A total gem! Hands down one of the best places in Toronto for banh mi and vietnamese iced coffee. I tried both the pork and chicken—both were so flavourful and the filling was super generous (no sad sandwich vibes here). The coffee is rich, strong and just perfect. The owners are incredibly friendly too, which made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend if you’re craving Vietnamese food, or simply something tasty and satisfying in downtown Toronto.
