My brother and I ordered the 2-can dine combo through the drive thru window at this location and the initial encounter with the attendant was very unpleasant, so I knew it wouldn't go well. She was very impatient and rushed us through our order. When we arrived to the window she did not acknowledge us at all. The whole time she was engaging with another worker while I was putting together the money to pay. When I gave her the money she grabbed it from out of my hand and then basically dropped the change in my hand. The whole time I found her to be very unpleasant and quite aggressive in her demeanour. The way she handed the food off to me was basically like "here you go, now hurry up and leave" the entire experience was very unwelcoming. After she threw the food I asked her if I could have two dipping sauces... I mean we did order two combos; not unreasonable at all. She dropped them in my hand saying "here" and closed the window and walked off. As my brother and I were checking the food and putting it down so I could drive off another worker opens the window, honestly it wasn't even 20 seconds she gave me the food and he sticks his head out saying " can you move, or the people will get angry" I responded "can you wait" he says, "huh" I repeat myself and he says "huh" again as if he didn't hear me the first time. I rolled up my window and we continued to do what we were doing and drove off. I'm actually disgusted with their behaviour and I do not see myself spending my money here again. If they do not have the capacity to work in customer service they should just leave. That was awful and I hope no one else has to experience that. it turns you off from actually enjoying the food. Actually, to make matters worse, the food was cold! So poor food, and poor customer service. I wouldn't recommend this store to my...
Read moreFor the love of Harvey's, AVOID THIS LOCATION.
After a number of terrible experiences, I shall share one which sums up the total incompetence of the management/staff at this location.
After receiving an offer on my Harvey's app, I decided to swing by for a burger and a milkshake. Apparently the employees have no idea what coupons exist, so after bantering back and forth I finally drove up to the window to show the employee the coupon on my phone. "You have to order through the app", was the response. "But you can see the coupon", I replied. "Yes," she said, and for no logical reason demanded I order through the app.
So, I pulled over in the parking lot and spent 5 minutes entering my credit card information and completed my order. I then rolled through the drive-thru again to pick up my order. The same employee smiled at me and said 'Sorry, we don't have milkshake mix.' Note : She already forced me to pay on the app, which automatically charges my credit card. At this point, I simply demanded a refund. "No, we don't issue refunds, you will have to call customer service on Monday". (It was Friday night) Then, it gets better...
I didn't move. She didn't move. The manager came over. "Can I offer you something else? A medium Nestea or Coca-Cola?" (note : a large milkshake is almost $4.00). I laughed and stated the obvious "But I've paid for a milkshake", to which she NO JOKE leaned over and gave me a loonie. I stared at it. "Milkshakes are $4.00" I muttered.... she looked surprised, as if she had never glanced at the menu in her entire life, went back to the register and handed me another toonie. Unable to spend another ten minutes arguing over basic math, I left and called customer service on Monday.
To this day, I have never been refunded despite corporate promises. Now THAT's some...
Read moreI visit this location pretty often as it's the closest one to my house however, I am frequently disappointed and I think today was the final straw. I have tried different things to try to communicate what I want but it only falls on deaf ears. I usually use the drive thru but today I decided to walk in so I could actually communicate eye-to-eye. The guy on cash (Kyle?) had the personality of a door knob! Dude needs to take some customer service classes and not be so rude saying, "You didn't ask for that!" when I asked a question. When you ask for specific things, (eg. no ice, extra salt & ketchup, etc.) it would be nice if the staff actually LISTENED to you instead of just putting their brain on automatic. Yes, their burgers taste good but they don't serve them the way I ask (no pickle, extra sauce) so it's really frustrating. I love poutine but they have problems making that too. The fries start warm but the cheese package is kept in a fridge and the gravy is barely warmer than room temperature. Seriously, they have it in a pot! Why is it not hot enough to melt the cheese? Cold poutine is just gross! I've had cold burgers several times too, actually more than hot ones. But the most annoying thing is when you try to order hot food at 10:15 (more than 1/2 hr before they close) and are told everything is turned off because the girl manning the drive thru window, slathered and shellacked in layers upon layers of makeup wants to go home. Wow! That's just ridiculous. I'm currently looking for a new burger place, maybe the Burger's Priest down the street will be happy for my business. I know I'm not alone in seeking better alternatives. See image for their interpretation of "poutine with gravy filled to...
