I recently visited Cineplex Cinema in Scarborough, and I must say, it was an outstanding movie-watching experience! From the moment I stepped into the theater, I felt welcomed and excited about the evening ahead.

The cinema itself was clean and well-maintained. The seating was comfortable, providing ample legroom and great visibility of the screen. I also appreciated the cleanliness of the theater, as it added to the overall enjoyment of the movie.

The audio and visual quality at Cineplex Cinema Scarborough were exceptional. The sound system was immersive, delivering crystal-clear audio that truly enhanced the cinematic experience. The screen was large and provided vibrant and sharp images, making the movie even more captivating.

TERRIIBLE experience, WORSE CORPORATE SERVICE

Do NOT waste your money or time with the LASER THEATRE EXPERIENCE.

Staff at the theater were friendly, efficient and I appreciate their work BUT....

An exciting Father's Day was ruined by the HORRENDOUSLY dIstorted movie they project on the sides of the walls.  Who would think projecting a stretched out version of the movie onto the side walls that are NOT SCREENS, filled with texture, fire exit signs, speakers and other obstructions was a good idea?

To finalize the unpleasant experience, and what was really the worst part was the projectors responsible for displaying these horrible wall parts, their LAZER LIGHT BLINDS YOU whenever it is not showing a night scene (or dark DARK scene).  That seems something they would have anticipated, projecting BLINDING lazer lights in the direction of the audience would be a bad idea!!! Being unable to move seats, we were forced to try to enjoy the VERY EXPENSIVE MOVIE with BRAINPIERCING LAZERS blinding us through 78% of the movie. Pictures are the view from our seats, BLINDING light and all. ( I've cropped the image to avoid breaking copywriting laws )

I escalated my complaint to Cineplex Head office who responded, sorry, that's just how the LAZER THEATER experience is, distorted movie, blinding lazer lights in your eyes and all.   As everything I described is apparently EXACTLY how the experience is supposed to be, they refused to discuss any refund or compensation or replacement tickets.

MORE THAN $30/EACH TICKET+ OVERPRICED POPCORN+ DRINKS ...$100 NIGHT RUINED. Do not waste your money. Stay home and watch it on...
