Mr.Sub — Restaurant in Toronto

This place ruined Mr. Sub for me.

The owner is so absolutely fantastic. I ordered a steak and cheese. I've never witnessed anyone make a sandwich like this before. We went through the usual "Toppings? Toasted?" questions and then when the time came for the sauce he made this recommendation: "Let me put two lines of chipotle sauce, one line of BBQ, and one line of A1 for some extra flavour."

I swear, it was the best sub I've ever had in my life.

So why did it ruin Mr. Sub for me? Well, how can I ever go to another Mr. Sub again to get them to make this sandwich? "Excuse me...can you put 2 lines of this, and these other sauces too?" The poor retail employees will think that I'm messing with them. I wouldn't even dare ask anyone else to try to make this sub again...which is why this is the only Mr. Sub I can ever go back to.

The owner is just such an awesome dude. Even before I was served I watched him interact with his customers. He knew the FedEx guy had tried a strawberry shortcake cookie the last time he was there. It was clear that many of the other people in line at a random 3:30 in the afternoon were also regulars. When he asked if I was from the area and I told him I was nearby just furniture shopping, he began giving me recommendations on where to go. Honestly, I thought service like this was dead. I absolutely love Mr Sub and as a vegetarian it's usually one of the only fast food shops that is available when out and about. Therefore it's fair to say that I have been to several locations all over the GTA.

This location is THE BEST location that provides the BEST service, fresh food and cleanliness, even the rest rooms are well above average in regards to upkeep.

The images provided display the work environment where they make your sandwich and these people make the sandwiches in a way where you can get all of your desired toppings without getting a squished soggy mess.

Came here because I was in the area and looking specifically for a Mr Sub. There was a bit of a lineup when I came in, but the staff acknowledged each person in line while they waited. The team worked efficiently and processed everyone as quickly as is reasonably expected. Friendly and precise, the sub was delicious and the bread was fresh.

I’d bet that the gentleman behind the counter (there were two women and a man) was the owner. He behaved that way, anyway. That is to say he seemed to care about the customers and the business.

I will come here again next time I’m in the area. Refreshing in an era and industry rife with poor customer...
