We recently discovered Kibo Sushi House, located just south of Steeles, thanks to its incredible 4.9-star rating on Google. Admittedly, it was a little tricky to find, since it’s tucked away at the bottom of a building, but the challenge of locating it just made our visit feel even more special. Once we arrived, we quickly understood why this place receives such high praise!
When we stepped inside, we immediately loved the decor. The walls feature colorful posters, creating a cool, modern atmosphere, complemented beautifully by warm, inviting lanterns hanging throughout the restaurant. It has that perfect balance of cozy and trendy, making it an ideal spot for a casual dinner or even a special evening out.
The service we experienced was genuinely excellent. From the moment we walked in, the staff welcomed us warmly and made sure we felt comfortable throughout our meal. They were attentive without being intrusive, always ready to help or answer any questions. It’s exactly the kind of hospitality that makes dining out enjoyable.
And then there’s the food—which was simply outstanding! Their menu offers a wide variety of sushi, maki rolls, bento boxes, donburi dishes, and even a nice selection of drinks. I ordered the Chirashi Don, while my wife opted for the Chicken Bento Box. We also decided to add some California rolls to our meal. Every item we ordered was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. The Chirashi Don was fresh and flavorful, filled with generous portions of high-quality sashimi over perfectly seasoned rice. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her Chicken Bento Box; the chicken was tender, flavorful, and accompanied by tasty side dishes. The California rolls were equally fresh and satisfying, rounding out our meal perfectly.
Beyond great food, what really makes a restaurant memorable is attention to detail. Kibo Sushi House excels in this area. The place was impeccably clean, service was efficient, and the overall atmosphere felt welcoming and thoughtfully put together.
At the end, we also got mochi ice cream, which was absolutely delicious and what a way to end off an amazing meal!
We left fully satisfied and have already decided we’ll definitely return soon. If you’re looking for delicious sushi in a comfortable atmosphere with fantastic service, Kibo Sushi House is absolutely worth seeking out. Highly...

We’ve been ordering from Kibo for delivery for quite some time now, and our experiences have generally been quite positive. Each time we order, the sushi has been consistently delicious, with fresh ingredients and great attention to detail in the presentation. The portion sizes are satisfying, and it’s clear that the team takes pride in ensuring that their food looks as good as it tastes. We’ve noticed that the sushi always arrives neatly arranged, which adds a nice touch to the overall dining experience, even when enjoying it at home.
On one particular occasion, we were pleasantly surprised when our order included a complimentary gyoza box. It was an unexpected and thoughtful gesture that left a lasting impression on us. The gyoza was flavourful, and the added bonus made us feel valued as repeat customers. Small gestures like this can really elevate the experience, and it’s one of the reasons we keep coming back.
However, there have been a couple of instances where the delivery took longer than expected, which slightly affected our overall experience. While the food quality has always been excellent, it would be great if the delivery times were more consistent. We understand that delays can happen, especially during peak hours, but a little more predictability would enhance the experience further.
Overall, Kibo has become a go-to spot for us when we’re craving sushi. The quality of the food and the thoughtful touches, like the complimentary gyoza, make it a standout choice. While there is some room for improvement in terms of delivery speed, we still highly recommend Kibo for anyone looking for delicious sushi delivered right to their door. We’ll definitely continue to order from here and look forward to our next...
Read moreI was looking for a nice Japanese place to meet with friends and picked this place based on good reviews and great food photos. The food did not disappoint. We ordered the sushi platter for three and it came with tempura, chicken karaage and edamame, which was more than enough for the four of us. The meal came with three soups and salads only and the server was kind enough to give us an extra set. The price is very reasonable compared to other Japanese places these days.
The decor and atmosphere of the restaurant is chic and comfortable. It’s not a big place but it’s not crowded. I can tell it’s Korean owned, not Japanese, but it’s quite common for Japanese restaurants in that area.
The only reason I gave a four star instead of five was because the service wasn’t the most friendly. I booked a table the day before and the table was waiting for us when we arrived. The server did not greet me when I walked in but just pointed me to the table when I mentioned the booking. We didn’t like the location of it and asked to switch to a better location. The server was a bit reluctant as he said the other table was reserved. But no one was at that table at the time, and I asked if the customer specifically asked for that table. He couldn’t answer and eventually gave us that table.
When the bill came, the amount entered on the machine was a few dollars more than the amount on the actual bill. When we asked the server to correct it, which he did, there was no apology or anything. I started to doubt if it was a mistake. There was also no greetings when we were walking out the restaurant. A simple thank you or goodnight would have made this experience much better. Better training of servers would make this place truly...
