A nicely located restaurant that misses a few points. Pork Bone soup - good portion, lots of meat, but seriously lacks the complex flavour that it should have. I've had pork bone soup in many restaurants in Toronto (going back more than 25 years since my students days), but this dish does not have any korean bean sprouts or leafy greens (usually radish leaves or napa cabbage outer leaves). I am not sure if they used any soy bean paste or wild sesame, which would have been nice. All I get is pork, salt and red pepper flavour, and the color is way too artificially red. I forgot to take a picture, but I see that other people did and posted. I understand that many customers just want more volume (esp. meat), but I cannot recommend this dish that lacks flavor, misses some key ingredients, plus gave me a stomachache for 30 hours afterwards! I also point out the meagre side dishes - enough for two bites. While the side dishes tasted good, the server limited the refill to just two extra. While I understand that we all want to avoid food waste, when I show appreciation for the side dishes and ask for more (especially when the main dish is disappointing) why it it so problematic to give a little more? That is so.....unkorean - they'd not survive another month as a business in Korea this way. And maybe that's part of the problem. The majority of the Canadian and international customers don't have the same expectations, so the owner does the bare minimum. I know restaurant businesses are incredibly hard, but given what I experienced here, I cannot recommend it to others.

If you're looking for a good restaurant to eat good Korean food at a good price, Kimchi is a great option. The establishment is located two blocks from St. Patrick's station, and there are several other establishments nearby. As soon as you arrive, you can start choosing your order, as they have a menu posted on the restaurant's window. Service: excellent service from the moment you enter until you leave. Orders are placed very quickly, and depending on the order, they arrive at your table very quickly. Food and drinks: the menu has a great variety of food and drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). If you have any questions, ask the waiter, as some dishes, such as the Okonomiake, are quite large and serve more than one person. The food is delicious, very well seasoned, and the dishes always arrive at a great temperature. Atmosphere: the restaurant is well organized and clean, the tables are always organized, and as soon as customers leave, they start cleaning them. The menus presented to customers are always clean and the restrooms are always very well organized and clean. People with children: the establishment does not have changing tables for babies or high chairs for children. Customers with disabilities: unfortunately the establishment does not have accessibility points, the doors do not open automatically, there is no adequate space for wheelchairs or walkers to pass through, as the corridors are not wide enough, the restrooms are not adapted for wheelchair users, and there are no menus in Braille. You can always visit and use the place.

During March Break, my friends and I (group of 9) went to Kimchi Korea House on March 14th, 2024 prior to our reservation at Escape Manor Toronto. After completing our shopping at the Eaton Centre, we took a quick 5 minute walk to the restaurant. In the past, we went to Kimchi House restaurant before in Koreatown, but Kimchi Korea House truly elevated the experience of eating at a K-restaurant. As soon as we walked in, there was a warm and inviting ambience. We were immediately brought to a table and the waitresses made sure we would all have a copy of the menu and set our water on the table. After putting in our orders, we thoroughly enjoyed the plethora of side dishes that came before the main dishes. The waiting time was swift and the bibimbaps were still piping hot! I ordered the infamous pork bone soup and it was so tender and savoury with a kick of spice. It went perfectly with the bowl of rice. Throughout the dining experience, our waitress came to refill our water by being super attentive to our needs. Aside from the great food and service, my friends are extremely grateful toward the restaurant. One of my friends accidentally left their debit card at the restaurant and did not realize until a couple of hours later. Luckily, staff found it prior to him calling and had kept it safe until he was able to retrieve it. This is a lovely restaurant and I would highly recommend - their attention to detail and dedication to providing outstanding service is greatly appreciated.
