Iâve been coming here for a while, and have always been treated with the utmost respect from the older employees working the restaurant and never had any complaints. However, I recently decided to dine in, and the newer employee serving our table didnât bring us forks, or glasses to prep our table. We ignored it, and took ones from the table beside us as we didnât wanna make it a problem. Employee comes around to take our order, and we say we donât need the menus and are ready to order. She looked at us as if we had no clue what we were doing, walked away to fix another table, and came back and asked us what we wanted. We asked for chili chicken and fried rice. She comes back with our food 30 seconds later and the chicken is not chili chicken, almost is entirely dry and sweet. We let the female employee know this isnât what we ordered, and she tells us itâs our fault we didnât ask for gravy on it. Not once have I ever ordered chili chicken with it coming dry like fried chicken. We tell her itâs never cooked like this, and the tables beside us were properly served the correct dish we wanted. She ignores us and tells the male employee working the counter to deal with it rudely. We take the plate to him, and he sends it back, only to send the plate back with sticky goopy gravy, that tasted almost sweet and sour, and immediately knew they didnât even bother trying to fix our complaint. We tried to let it slide, but it was disappointing. We once again told them this isnât what we ordered, and weâd be willing to pay for another one to be made properly. Instead, the female employee completely disregarded and disrespected us. When we raised the concern to the male working the counter, he tells us he knows weâve been coming in always, and our regulars, and we overhear the female employee call us stupid, and slurs behind us as at the other table. This really upset us and we told the male employee to address the matter w his coworker, because we werenât gonna pay for food with the server directly disrespecting us. He tells us he doesnât want our money, and never wants us to come back there??!
Not once have we had an issue at this place, but because of an employee who refused to address their attitude, they throughly disrespected us infront of many other customers as well. Management needs to address this employee, people donât need the attitude whilst purchasing their food especially when we, as customers who have repeatedly come in over the years,...
Read moreNormally i would of given Lucky a 3.5 or 4 star but tonight was my Mothers 71st bday and when i asked what she wanted to eat she said her usual fav chilli chicken from Lucky. She also said she wanted to try their veggie pakoras because she had their chicken ones and they were good.
I arrived at the restaraunt to pick it up and while i was waiting for the food i notoced through the window one of the chefs putting dark brown peices of something into a box and closing it.
I asked the woman at the counter if those were my pakoras and stated that they looked burnt. She went to the back and returned with my order packed. I said again the pakoras looked very dark are you sure they arent burnt.
She continued to insist that they were not and open the container to show me. I said ONCE AGAIN.... they look burnt. She then said no no that is the way they always look.
As i had never had them myself I let it go and took the food to my mom. I dropped it off and about 30 minutes later i got a call saying that the chilli chicken was great. . .
But that the pakoras were terrible and were burnt and tasted like they were cooked in old burn oil!!!
I called the restaraunt and told them about what my mother said and after trying to tell me again that thats what they normally look like, I told her she is not telling me truth because my mother has had the pakora before and knows thats not how it looks or tastes!
She said the next time im in ( i was not driving 30 mins back and forth ) that she would replace it for me.
What a disappointment. Do better Lucky ... you went from a 4 to a 1..... because you first of all should of never even put them in a box and try to feed customer something that was clearly burnt but then to try to argue that it...
Read moreThe food was a bit greasy and mediocre, but the real problem here is that the service is just mind-bogglingly disgraceful. Go there if you have a fetish for listening to hordes of driveling middle-aged waitresses talk smack about you in Chinese.
When I walked in, I asked to be seated but the ladies just ignored me. I had to actually walk up to the counter and place my order, explicitly specifying that it's "for here." They took my order and I sat down at a table to wait. It was a very long wait (like 15-20 minutes) just for a simple chili chicken with rice and they STILL ended up giving it to me to-go for some reason (the restaurant was almost empty). They didn't even call me up when it was done, so I had to keep checking in with them.
Here's the kicker though: I finally sat down again with my food, unpacked the bag and started eating at a table. OK so, I am a young Chinese dude, but they probably assumed I couldn't understand Chinese since I made my order in fluent English. So afterwards, the ladies near the counter just started to loudly talk about me in Chinese: "Look at that clueless kid over there. He's so stupid. Ordering to-go and eating at a table. Probably thinks this is McDonalds."
Little did they know I understood their banter completely, and I couldn't believe what I had just heard. I've eaten at dirty street vendors in south Asia and 3 Michelin star restaurants alike, and never has the service been so blatantly rude and incompetent. I live right by this place, and there's basically no other Chinese restaurants closer. Though I love Chinese food in general, I'm glad to say that this place will never be getting my...
